Just as I previously talked in a post about La Llovizna park in Puerto Ordaz, Bolivar state. In the same city there is also another park named Cachamay, name of the indigenous word, which was called in earlier times to one of the villages that were located in this area, which is characterized by having lots of vegetation, with a lot of species of flowers, plants and animals, and of course the Cachamay waterfall, which I usually say as the younger brother of the waterfall La Llovizna. These two parks are in different locations, but they are connected by the great Caroní River, sharing the same waters.

This park is located on an area of more than 200 hectares, and connects the two cities of Puerto Ordaz and San Felix, and has always been under the custody of the conglomerate of companies of the C.V.G., although it is currently in a condition of abandonment, they have tried to recover these spaces for recreation and leisure for citizens and tourists.

I remember when I was a child, my parents used to take me to this park, by that time it was a place where you could see many people exercising or just spending some time in the park admiring all the beauty of nature and there was also a zoo that worked for the rescue of many animals of the area in captivity, but after many years everything was disappearing and even some animals were transferred to other zoos, or simply died for lack of attention.

After many years without visiting this beautiful place, but which is practically forgotten, I wanted to return to this place and take some pictures, and practically nobody goes to this park, with the exception of a few people who only go to the park to fish in the area of the rivers, even in a certain way it can be a little unsafe, but even so you can appreciate the majesty and grandeur of the Cachamay waterfall, which years after years does not let the waters of the Caroní fall on these surfaces.

On the one hand, it makes me very nostalgic to be in this park, but it also causes me indignation for the conditions of this great park, which at one time was a meeting point for all the inhabitants of the area. I hope in the future to return to this beautiful place, which is full of nature and is in excellent condition, so that everyone can enjoy a space full of harmony and nature.
