RE: Exploring the Hidden Gem of Manghupe in Carcar, Cebu

So there's more to carcar than the shoes, old houses, chicharon and lechon huh.
Nice exploration! And very very close to nature~
Love how people in the countryside keeps that kind of tradition of sharing blessings to others, though cockfighting is frown upon by a lot of people.
I kinda miss the countryside life. You will really feel connected to people and nature when you're in a place like this! Living in the city, it's a different kind of "connection".

There definitely is more to Carcar than the heritage sites, shoes and foodies! And it's lying under the veil of its recognitions. The folks in Manghupe have been super friendly, and honestly, it's one of the best things about Carcar.

Living near Carcar (just two municipalities South of Minglanilla), I still get a kick out of finding "hidden gems" during my penny-pinching motorbike adventures. 😅

There's a stark contrast between how we connect in the countryside and in my hometown. The more we head into the city, the less we feel part of the community.

I hope this post helps remind us of the spirit. Much !love and thanks for stopping by!
