It can be now - there are towns around Churu with the same havelis - they can be added to the UNESCO world heritage list - worth adding.

I hope you find somewhere to settle for a bit. :)

In Churu, I lived at a guesthouse, like, very, very local one, without even a shower - bucket system and quite dirty so I used my own plastic deep plate as a scoop. :) But there were no affordable alternatives. Now, I am in Bikaner and live like a noble, lol.

The locals look smiley and friendly

Yes, but it has the dark side. Too small place, everyone knew me after several days, and some of these people even got upset I didn't visit their shops to shake hands again. Happy to leave this place - 6 days were exciting but enough, lol.
