Friends, I hope that all of you are healthy and well and are living a happy and peaceful life. Friends, today I will talk about a holy place and temple of Uttarakhand, which is not only famous in India but is also considered very famous in the world. Yes, today I will talk about Maa Dhari Devi of Uttarakhand. So let us know about our Dhairya Devi and the journey here. Friends, as I had told you in my previous very old post that when we went to Harshil, there was a temple on the way which is a very beautiful temple and it was about 85 to 90 kilometers from our city Almora where we live. We were coming from there, so we thought let's go and visit the temple on the way, we parked the car on the road and from there we went down. There would be about 900 birds in going from the main road to the temple and the entire path was covered with tar from the side and this path was made by putting tar from above also so that the devotees do not face any kind of difficulty because the monkeys snatch the prasad from their hands, so this very beautiful path was also constructed by the temple there, we roamed around in the temple and as we went down, we felt very good.

It is said that the two legs of Goddess Dhari manifested in Shridevi while the lower part appeared in Kali Math temple where she is worshipped as the incarnation of Maa Kali. The idol of Dhari Devi cannot be kept under any roof so it is always kept open towards the sky. This temple is situated on the banks of Raghunandan river between Srinagar and Durga and can be approached through the 1 kilometer long Simandal route. It takes about 1 km from the road to reach the temple.

As we were descending the stairs, we saw that there were three sets of beautiful shlokas written on the bird, which I was reading as I went further. After that, we went to the temple premises and after that we also had darshan of Mata and after that, we sat there for a while and meditated there in a peaceful manner, which felt quite nice. After that, we learned a little about the place and also took some photos.

Friends, earlier there was no temple of this kind here. Earlier there was a temple of Maa in the form of a mountain here, but the government was going to build a 330 megawatt hydraulic electronic electric dam in the Alaknanda river, then in the area where it was located, a dam of about 620 meters long was built through social media and during this time the temple of Maa was also coming up. The villagers and all the people living there protested that the idol of Maa should not be removed, but the government removed the idol of Maa from that place. As soon as the idol was removed from its place, immediately after that you saw the scene of great destruction in Kedarnath in 2013, how the flood came there and many people lost their lives. People had already refused, but the government was not going to care about this thing, after this the marriage incident happened, immediately after that the government decided that the idol of Maa should be placed again at this place, due to which the temple was placed at this place in another way.

If we talk about this temple, then according to the old saying, once this temple was washed away in a severe flood and the idol of Dhari Devi was kept in the form of a rock near Utaro village. The villagers listen to the sound of Gulab with Moti and instructed to install the idol in the sacred voice.
The temple dedicated to Devika ji is very revered in this area. It is believed that the idol of Sari Mata here changes its form three times a day and it is a very prominent and famous temple here. If we talk about changing the idol of Mata, then first a girl, then a woman and finally in the form of a complete woman, this idol keeps changing its form during the day.
Every year on the occasion of Navratri, special worship is done to Goddess Kaleshwar. To get the blessings of Goddess Kali, people from nearby areas come to visit this holy place and there is also an ancient cave near the temple. This temple is 15 km from Srinagar on the International Highway Bachpan, it is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda river.
The priest of the temple believes that this temple and the miraculous idol of Mata in this temple are established since the Dwapar era.
