Even short trips are those little sparks that light up the soul. In this short post, I'm going to share with you a little trip we took to Punto Fijo in Falcón state. Not long ago, I showed you some beautiful sunsets. Years ago, I lived in this small town, which brings back fond memories, not only because I had a good time there, but also because my mother was born there and we used to visit when I was little.
This time we didn't go to the beach early in the morning, but it turns out that where we were staying, which was a cousin's house, was located on a cliff. We only had to walk a few steps and go down, and there was a captivating landscape hidden away, something that can impress anyone who passes by or stays in this area.
This wasn't always there. It turns out that a man, whose name I don't know, bought the house just behind this cliff with the intention of turning it into an inn and tourist attraction. He has been working on this project, cutting rocks, building a path with stone and wooden steps, and installing small lookout points and even seats so that people can rest and relax in this beautiful landscape.
Not only did he build paths lined with rocks, but he also decorated each path. It is not yet completely finished, but the parts that are already finished look very beautiful. He made a seating area decorated with small lights that looked like woven lamps, and the seats were like blue foam rubber with rocks underneath them. At night it looks beautiful. He also put lights or beacons along the path so that when night falls they turn on. These are solar powered, which I liked and was impressed by, as he is using quite a lot of technology for these spaces.
There is a space where there is a small hut or cabin, so to speak. I call it a hut because the roof is made of Caña Brava, and he put a swing, chairs, and a barbecue area in that space. Inside the cabin, which I saw in photos since he has an Instagram account where you can make reservations for this inn, which I will leave below, there you can see what it has, even air conditioning, because this area is hot, and it has artificial grass laid throughout the space, hammocks for people to relax in, go to the beach, come back, barbecue, cook, and if you want to rest, you can go to the comfort of the bed.
As part of it is still unfinished, you can still see some cliffs, small mountains that have been cut by machines, and there is also a part where there is an iron bench like the ones schoolchildren sit on, where we were able to take a small family photo and rest if you want, then continue walking until you reach the shore of the beach where you can see the whole sea and many ships that can rest there as the port is very close by.
When you get to the beach, you can also see that there were some small umbrellas for people to use, as there is an abandoned hotel next to this development. but it also had its own separate path for guests to go down to the beach. There are about four umbrellas left that are now collapsed or without roofs. Now there is an inn that this man is building called Casa al Mar. It is also rented out for parties. I don't know the prices, but it is something beautiful that is worth it, even though it is not yet finished.
