Exhibition of busts and tableware in the Great Tsaritsyn Palace.

in Pinmapple3 years ago

Today I will continue the topic about the exhibitions of the Tsaritsyn Palace. It would seem that there are few historical exhibits left, and not all of the premises have been restored, but there is something to tell about.

I have two sets of pictures that I have combined into one theme. I am publishing them for the first time. And they suggest a certain idea. If everything is more or less clear with the dishes, then I would like to say a few words about silver busts.

I still did not understand what practical role such sculptures played, because if there were two or three of them, then you could still think that it was such a beautiful object to put it on a desk or in a showcase. But there are really a lot of them and all are made at the highest level of skill. Perhaps the emperors simply collected these things, as many now collect postage stamps or corks from beer bottles.

How interesting and definitely a museum I would like to visit someday.
Thank you for sharing these historic relics with us 😊.

Thank you, @tanjakolader! The museum is really very interesting. Look in my publication feed, there are many posts about this palace and its exhibitions.

Ok will definitely check them out. Read a little online about this palace and knew Catherine the Great built some impressive monuments, but didn't know this was one of them.

Yes, all these are real faces of different periods of Russian history
