Hello to all the readers of my blog! Today I have a large and final publication on the topic of the Central Maritime Museum located in St. Petersburg.
ONLINE REFERENCE: The Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great is one of the oldest museums in Russia and one of the largest maritime museums in the world. Back at the end of the XIX century. The Maritime Museum has become a significant Russian cultural and scientific center.
For three centuries of its existence, the museum has collected a huge number of valuable museum items reflecting the most important events in the history of the fleet. There are more than 700,000 of them in the museum's funds. Including more than 13,000 items of ship equipment, more than 11,000 pieces of cold steel and firearms, more than 62,000 works of fine art, more than 56,000 items of clothing, awards and badges, flags and banners, more than 44,000 documents and manuscripts, about 300,000 photographs and negatives, hundreds of thousands of sheets of drawings.
The museum has one of the richest collections of ship models in the world (about 2000 units). The model collection clearly reflects the history of Russian and foreign military shipbuilding.
To be honest, I did not expect that my photographs from this museum would end so soon. But after all, my summer trip to St. Petersburg was full of variety, so there are still a lot of interesting things ahead of us. And now let's go back for the last time under the arches of the maritime museum.
As I said, in those halls where more modern exhibits are presented, the visitor will find a wide variety of things related to the maritime history of our country. There are still many different models of ships behind glass cases, but the samples of weapons, equipment and equipment presented are more complex and interesting.
In one of the pictures you can see a jet turbine. This is part of the design of a large cruise ship missile. Rocket launchers and samples of the missiles themselves are presented here in the museum only in general form, but this turbine is an exception.
In this part of the museum there are also samples of uniforms of sailors and officers of a more modern period. Also in one of the showcases there is a mock-up with clothes of a naval pilot.
For some reason, children really like those halls of the museum, where there are models of submarines, amphibious aircraft, various samples of modern weapons. Personally, I would really like to pay more attention to the paintings that hang in abundance in the museum, because each of them tells about some interesting historical event.
At the end of the museum hall you can see a long gallery with a staircase. This is a feature of the building, because the museum is very elongated. There are also various guns and even a real periscope from a submarine installed in the passage.
At this point, I must conclude my story about the Central Maritime Museum of St. Petersburg. Of course, if you talk about each of the local exhibits for a long time, my publications would be enough for a whole year. But I will not bore you with such cases, because tomorrow I will tell you about a completely different adventure that we had last summer during a trip to St. Petersburg.

СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Центральный военно-морской музей имени императора Петра Великого — один из старейших музеев России и один из крупнейших морских музеев мира. Ещё в конце XIX в. Морской музей стал значительным российским культурным и научным центром.
За три века своего существования музей собрал огромное количество ценнейших музейных предметов, отражающих важнейшие события истории флота. В фондах музея их хранится более 700 000. В том числе свыше 13 000 предметов корабельной техники, более 11 000 единиц холодного и огнестрельного оружия, свыше 62 000 произведений изобразительного искусства, более 56 000 предметов формы одежды, наград и знаков, флагов и знамен, свыше 44 000 документов и рукописей, около 300 000 фотографий и негативов, сотни тысяч листов чертежей.
Музей обладает одним из богатейших в мире собраний моделей кораблей (около 2000 единиц). В модельной коллекции наглядно отражена история российского и зарубежного военного кораблестроения.
Честно говоря, я сам не ожидал, что мои фотоснимки из этого музея закончатся так скоро. Но ведь моя летняя поездка в Петербург была полна разнообразия, поэтому впереди нас ждут ещё очень много всего интересного. А сейчас вернёмся в последний раз под своды морского музея.
Как я и говорил, в тех залах, где представлены более современные экспонаты, посетителя ожидает большое разнообразие того, что относится к морской истории нашей страны. Здесь всё так же много разных макетов кораблей за стеклянными витринами, но представленные образцы оружия, оснастки и оборудования более сложные и интересные.
На одном из снимков вы можете заметить реактивную турбину. Это часть конструкции большой крылатой корабельной ракеты. Ракетные установки и образцы самих ракет здесь в музее представлены только в общем виде, но вот эта турбина – исключение.
В этой части музея также имеются образцы обмундирования матросов и офицеров более современного периода. Также в одной из витрин стоит макет с одеждой военно-морского лётчика.
Детям почему-то очень нравятся те залы музея, где есть макеты подводных лодок, самолётов-амфибий, разные образцы современного оружия. Лично я очень бы хотел уделить больше внимания картинам, которых в музее висит в избытке, веедь каждая из них рассказывает о каком-то интересном историческом событии.
В конце зала музея можно увидеть длинную галерею с лестницей. Это особенность здания, ведь музей очень вытянут в длину. Здесь в проходе также установлены разные орудия и даже настоящий перископ от подводной лодки.
На этом месте я должен завершить свой рассказ о Центральном морском музее Петербурга. Конечно, если подолгу рассказывать о каждом из здешних экспонатов, моих публикаций хватило бы на целый год. Но я не стану утомлять вас подобными делами, ведь уже завтра я расскажу о совершенно другом приключении, которое нам выпало прошлым летом во время поездки в Петербург.
