Today we will continue the story about the exhibition of Faberge factory items. Recently we got acquainted with eggs, clocks and household items. Today we have products made of silver, crystal and all kinds of useful things that only the rich part of society could afford.
HELP FROM WEB: The Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg opened in 2013. This is the first non-governmental meeting of federal significance in modern Russia. In the collection you can see the works of Carl Faberge jewelry company: the famous imperial Easter eggs, jewelry and accessories, tableware, interior items. The works of other famous jewelers of the late XIX — early XX century are also presented here.
The Faberge Museum is located in the Shuvalov Palace — one of the St. Petersburg architectural monuments of the XVIII–XIX centuries. Its left wing was erected in the 1780s on the banks of the Fontanka River for the Counts Vorontsov. The right part of the building was added later — in the early 1820s, when the palace already belonged to the chief huntsman Dmitry Naryshkin. Since 1846, it passed to the relatives of the Naryshkins, Counts Shuvalov, who owned it until the revolution.
The scope of the exhibition is amazing. When a visitor looks at all this splendor, the question arises involuntarily about what a huge scale the factory had. There were a lot of talented and skilled craftsmen working there.
To be honest, I used to be sure that Faberge is beautiful trinkets like eggs and all kinds of jewelry, but there are so many ordinary items on the shelf, like watches or belt buckles, so all this only evokes respect for the skill of artists, jewelers and artisans.
Today is not the last publication about this museum. There are other miracles ahead of us, made by simple human hands of masters who in those distant times had great talent.
Сегодня мы продолжим рассказ о выставке предметов фабрики Фаберже. Недавно мы познакомились с яйцами, часами и бытовыми предметами. Сегодня у нас изделия из серебра, хрусталя и всевозможные полезные вещи, которые могла позволить себе лишь богатая часть общества.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Музей Фаберже в Санкт-Петербурге открылся в 2013 году. Это первое в современной России негосударственное собрание федерального значения. В коллекции вы можете увидеть произведения ювелирной фирмы Карла Фаберже: знаменитые императорские пасхальные яйца, ювелирные украшения и аксессуары, посуду, предметы интерьера. Здесь же представлены работы и других известных ювелиров конца XIX — начала XX века.
Музей Фаберже находится в Шуваловском дворце — одном из петербургских архитектурных памятников XVIII–XIX столетий. Его левое крыло возвели в 1780-х годах на берегу реки Фонтанки для графов Воронцовых. Правую часть здания пристроили позднее — в начале 1820-х, когда дворец уже принадлежал обер-егермейстеру Дмитрию Нарышкину. С 1846 года он перешел к родственникам Нарышкиных, графам Шуваловым, которые и владели им вплоть до революции.
Размах выставки поражает. Когда посетитель смотрит на всё это великолепие, то невольно рождается вопрос о том, какой огромный масштаб имела фабрика. Там работало очень много талантливых и искусных мастеров.
Честно говоря, раньше я был уверен, что Фаберже – это красивые безделушки типа яиц и всевозможных украшений, но на выствке так много обычных предметов, наподобие часов или пряжек для поясов, поэтому всё это вызывает лишь уважение мастерству художников, ювелиров и ремесленников.
Сегодня не последняя публикация о данном музее. Впереди нас ждут другие чудеса, сделанные простыми человеческими руками мастеров, которые в те далёкие времена обладали огромным талантом.
