Walking around the city center on one of the days of our vacation with my daughter, we suddenly realized that we had half a day left, which we urgently needed to spend somewhere. For some reason I was sure that my daughter remembered our trip to St. Petersburg in 2014, but she said that she did not even remember how we went to St. Isaac's Cathedral that time.
HELP FROM THE NETWORK: St. Isaac's Cathedral is an integral part of the architectural appearance of St. Petersburg. Along with the Bronze Horseman, the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Admiralty spire, it is one of the symbols of the city on the Neva. The construction of the temple is inextricably linked with the history of the city and reflects architectural, artistic and urban planning trends from the beginning of the XVIII to the first half of the XIX century. The cathedral was consecrated in the name of St. Isaac of Dalmatia, on whose memorial day the founder of the city, Tsar Peter I, was born. The current cathedral is the fourth church built in St. Petersburg to commemorate Peter's birthday.
Fortunately, the queue for tickets was not very long, because there are very few foreign tourists coming now. We decided not to go inside, but to buy an excursion to the colonnade of the cathedral in order to survey the surroundings of the city from there.
The hike up was going up a steep spiral staircase and we confidently set off on our way. Not all tourists have good health to walk quickly up the stairs, so often we had to overtake breathless visitors who periodically stopped to rest halfway.
The view from the colonnade is truly beautiful. Everyone is photographed here. It was worth being polite and trying not to get caught in the lenses of numerous cameras, and people appreciate it, because when you take pictures yourself, other visitors are also waiting patiently. Everyone is extremely polite, apparently the atmosphere of St. Petersburg affects tourists. No wonder this city is recognized as the most cultured and friendly in our country.
I took a lot of photos, trying to cover the entire panorama of the city. If you have never been to St. Petersburg, you have a great opportunity right now to explore its center from the height of St. Isaac's Cathedral.
Гуляя по центру города в один из дней нашего с дочкой отпуска, мы вдруг поняли, что у нас в запасе целых полдня, которые срочно требовалось куда-то потратить. Я был почему-то уверен, что дочь помнит нашу поездку в Петербург в 2014-м году, но она сказала, что даже не помнит, как мы в тот раз ходили в Исаакиевский собор.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Исаакиевский собор – неотъемлемая часть архитектурного облика Санкт-Петербурга. Наряду с Медным всадником, Петропавловской крепостью и шпилем Адмиралтейства он является одним из символов города на Неве. Строительство храма неразрывно связано с историей города и отражает архитектурно-художественные и градостроительные тенденции от начала XVIII до первой половины XIX века. Собор освящен во имя святого преподобного Исаакия Далматского, в день поминовения которого родился основатель города царь Петр I. Существующий ныне собор является четвертым храмом, построенным в Петербурге в ознаменование дня рождения Петра.
К нашему счастью, очередь за билетами была не очень длинной, потому что сейчас очень мало приезжих иностранных туристов. Мы решили не заходить внутрь, а купить экскурсию на колоннаду собора, чтобы оттуда обозревать окрестности города.
Поход вверх предстоял по крутой спиральной лестнице и мы уверенно двинулись в путь. Не все туристы обладают крепким здоровьем, чтобы быстро шагать по ступенькам, поэтому часто нам приходилось обгонять запыхавшихся посетителей, которые периодически октанавливались, чтобы передохнуть на полпути.
Вид с колоннады воистину прекрасен. Здесь все фотографируются. Стоило проявлять вежливость и стараться не попадать в объективы многочисленных камер и люди это ценят, потому что когда ты сам делаешь снимки, другие посетители также терпеливо ждут. Все предельно вежливы, видимо отмосфера Петербурга влияет на туристов. Недаром ведь этот город признан самым культурным и доброжелательным в нашей стране.
Я сделал много фотографий, старясь охватить всю панораму города. Если вы никогда не бывали в Петербурге, у вас прямо сейчас есть отличная возможность осмотреть его центр с высоты Исаакиевского собора.
