Mis 5 canciones favoritas
Con el paso del tiempo mis gustos musicales se han ido ampliando. Cuando era más niño por influencia de mis padres comencé escuchando mucho folklore argentino. Quise ser pretencioso y pase a la musica barroca, clásica y el periodo del romanticismo.
La television me metió en el mundo del pop y el rap de a ratos. Pero luego empecé a escuchar rock gracias a la influencia de un amigo.
En mis viajes pasé a escuchar reggae y al volver a casa me hice amigo de la familia del psytrance psicodélico.
De adolescente pasé por todos los géneros de la música electrónica
Ahora me encuentro redescubriendo de a poco todos los subgéneros del rock. Intercalado con la relajante musica celta, el instrumental lofi hip hop y algo de trap metal también. Para sacudirse las pulgas.
Ah! Casi se me olvida, también me encantan los soundtracks orquestales y los mantras.
Luis Alberto Spinetta - La sed verdadera, MTV unplugged.
El "flaco" Spinetta es una leyenda del rock Argentino, con una discografía amplia y muy variada, por lo tanto es muy difícil elegir una sola canción. Desde sus comienzos con un sonido más folk acústico hasta su etapa más jazzista. Pasando por un periodo de hard rock también. Se convirtió en el máximo referente de la música en mi país.
En este caso, elijo esta canción porque me inspira a componer, tocar la guitarra y soltar la voz. Sus letras siempre tienen una refinada poesía y en esta en particular me lleva a pensar sobre la paz interior, junto a un fuerte llamado a hacer tu propia música.
Soda Stereo - La ciudad de la furia, MTV (un)plugged
En esta interpretación voladora Gustavo Cerati, líder de una de las bandas más influyentes de América Latina, Soda Stereo, se luce con la guitarra y la voz para regalarnos una de las mejores canciones del rock argentino.
Según tengo entendido lograron que MTV les permita hacer un unplugged pero enchufados con instrumentos eléctricos.

Que decir de esta canción?. La escuchaba para darme energías cuando estaba internado. Me motiva a querer cambiarlo todo, a sacar lo mejor de mí.
La escucho y me da ánimos siempre. Me despierta esos poderes ocultos, esa fortaleza humana que nos revela que todos podemos ser héroes aunque sea por un día.
Paul McCartney - Live and Let Die
Miembro de la banda que lo inició (casi) todo. Bueno que decir de los cuatro de Liverpool que no se haya dicho antes...
En mi caso tengo una especial admiración por Paul (yo también me llamo Paul 😁).., y cuando vino a tocar a Argentina hace unos años en el One on One tour verlo en vivo marcó mi vida. Increíble el sonido que trajo, todo el show muy disfrutable desde el primer segundo, una capacidad para componer música universal que llegará a muchas generaciones.
Esta canción me hace dar ganas de bailar, saltar, gritar, prender fuego algo.
Una montaña rusa de emociones.
Recuerdo emocionado que en la versión que tocaron en Córdoba, en el vivo está orquestado para parecer como si la pirotecnia fallara y empiezan a saltar chispas y fuego en el escenario muy cerca de los musicos. Una locura! Que te pone muy nervioso, pero es un momento muy divertido porque sale todo bien al final.

Sin palabras literalmente. Como puede una canción sin letras llevarte a traves de tantos estados emocionales?. Cada vez que la escucho, lloro un mar de lágrimas. Una mezcla de ira, dolor, negación, depresión, aceptacion, poderosa evocación de la vida la muerte.
Ni se como explicarla. Me hace sentir como un bebé que acaba de nacer.
Bonus track: Majá-mritiun-yaia
Un extra para finalizar, El majá-mritiun-yaia (‘oración para conquistar la gran muerte’). Es un mantra del hinduismo que al escucharlo sentí sanarme por dentro.
Tiene una fuerza, una profundidad y un misterio capaces de transformarnos.
Para mí esta clase de sonidos, están más cerca de la medicina y la meditación, y es la viva representación del arte elevando la conciencia.
Esta erróneamente atribuido al Dalai Lama. Desconozco aún a su verdadero intérprete.
