I don’t think we live in a simulation life has too many variables it’s too chaotic and we too desperate to maintain “control” we would not have the feeling we need control if things were a simulation
We try to build these lives of routine to try and bring order to our lives because we can’t trust ourselves to maintain order without a structure!
To me a simulation would be even more chaotic since people would push the boundaries even further knowing there’s nothing on the line they can’t lose or win in a simulation!
I could be wrong but I think a simulation would have its limits considering the amount of variables at play each day with 8 billion people and even more life around that in other forms
Excellent way of visualizing things, I loved your comment and I thank you for making known that great point of view and as you describe a simulated reality, it would be difficult or impossible to distinguish from the "true" reality. Therefore, we must try to live our daily lives in what we consider to be the "real world."
Yeah, that's what I am thinking even if it was a simulation, you can make it "YOUR real world" and do with it as you please. I think that the idea of a simulation perhaps could also be a misunderstanding of terminology and it could be something like a many worlds theory where we have alternative universes playing out in real time
