¿Podemos escaparnos de los estereotipos? Pienso que no porque son construcciones sociales que tipifican grupos en los cuales estamos incluidos e incluimos a los demás. El concepto de estereotipo se encuentra ligado a la percepción y al prejuicio que, comúnmente, los relacionamos con conductas negativas, aun cuando no, necesariamente, sea así. Lo cierto es que los estereotipos unifican y generalizan convirtiéndose en categorías vagas, la mayoría de las veces, sin fundamentos.
El amigo @starstrings01 nos invita a participar en un nuevo concurso. “Los Estereotipos”. Aquí encontrarás las normas y requisitos si deseas compartir con nosotros esas “etiquetas” sociales que caracterizan los diversos grupos que convivimos en el planeta. Los estereotipos nacionales le van diciendo al mundo ciertas características de cómo nos percibimos y cómo nos perciben los demás. Lo más interesante de la propuesta es que nos invita a indicar los sentimientos que nos producen y si nos afectan de alguna manera en nuestra cotidianidad. Aquí mi participación.

Nada en serio todo en broma
Hay quienes afirman que los venezolanos todo lo agarramos a broma, que no nos tomamos nada en serio ¿La verdad? Ciertamente muchos somos así. Esta actitud nos hace ver como personas de buen carácter y al mismo tiempo como inmaduros, lo que ha llevado a afirmar, también, como generalización, que en esta característica radica parte de nuestros problemas sociales.
Comprender el humor venezolano puede resultar un poco difícil ya que por muy triste, impresionante, contradictoria o burda que sea la situación algún chiste sale de allí. Ahora bien, la broma puede estar teñida de ironía o de humor negro, que con frecuencia, tiende a ser una crítica que responde a un hecho social, político, económico o de otra índole, es decir, nos reímos de la “tragedia” propia y ajena, entendiendo tragedia como cualquier mal momento personal o colectivo.
La delicadeza del asunto está en que ese “humor” actúa como un proceso de catarsis, de desahogo a las situaciones que en un momento determinado se está viviendo, el hecho puede causar asombro, bochorno, rabia e impotencia y dentro del absurdo le encontramos ese lado gracioso, irónico que relaja, aunque sea momentáneamente, la tensión, quizás por esta manera de ser y hacer no somos un pueblo amargado ni tampoco pretendemos tapar el sol con un dedo. Sabemos y reconocemos nuestros problemas solo que los pintamos con un poco de humor para sobrellevarlos.

We know and recognize our problems, we just paint them with a little humor to cope with them.

Este estereotipo esta como bien marcado en nuestra sociedad. No sé si desde afuera nos miren como tales, pero internamente es una práctica que se ha arraigado y considero que nos ha hecho mucho daño como grupo social.
La llamada viveza criolla es esa característica que consiste en creerse “más vivo que todo el mundo” lo que significa que dicha persona considera que puede pasarle por encima a los demás, no respetando los derechos del otro.
Ejemplo de esa viveza criolla hay muchos, uno de los que más se practican es colearse en las colas. Venezuela en los últimos años se ha caracterizado por la escasez de diversos productos lo que trae como consecuencia que para adquirirlos se hagan colas que, en muchos oportunidades, significan pernotar en el sitio durante largas horas e incluso hay quienes se atreven a pasar días.
Actualmente el producto de mayor escasez en nuestro país es la gasolina y la encuentras con dos precios oficiales. En estaciones de servicios subsidiadas por el gobierno a un precio de 5.000 Bs el litro (0,002$) y las estaciones donde el precio es internacional que tiene un valor de 0,50 $ al cambio del día por lo que hoy 16 de abril de 2021 un litro de gasolina te cuesta 1.227.060 Bs. Como podemos observar la diferencia es abismal, por lo que las estaciones de servicios subsidiadas, generan colas descomunales.
¿Dónde entra la viveza criolla aquí? Que las personas que han pasado sus largas horas en las colas esperando que llegue la gandola que surtirá a la estación de servicio no tienen garantía de poder llenar su vehículo porque se hacen colas paralelas de los amigos, familiares y afines que entraran primero a la estación de servicio sin importar el tiempo que lleven los “no amigos”.
La viveza criolla es un estereotipo que me hace sentir incómoda. Lo llamamos viveza criolla, sin embargo, lo que está detrás de la práctica es un vacío de valores tales como: el respeto al otro y la responsabilidad social ¡Eso, de que duele, duele! Siento que me afecta de manera negativa, es una conducta que se va internalizando en la colectividad y que no puedes cambiarlas de manera individual, directa y puntual, pero tampoco logras aceptarlas porque, sencillamente, alguien está vulnerando tus derechos y eso siempre será algo que se resiente.
