Today's #BloggingChallenge is about my 10 favorite foods, here it goes:
**10: Tamales **
There's sweet ones, others filled with meat, I like them all, even the smell when they're heating up is something I like a lot, although I rather eat them when the weather is cold, they're some sort of December tradition so I relate them to winter.
9: Hot Cakes or Pancakes, I know they go by different names.
Warm, soft, covered with syrup, oh yeah I could eat them daily if only I weren't as lazy to cook them or cheap to order them every day.
8: Bread filled with milk cream
This word (milk cream) I had to google, in spanish is called "nata". Basically is a sweet bread cut in half to make some sort of sweet sandwich, it goes with milk cream, fruit, and nutella, a sugar bomb but really tasty, it goes well with sour coffee.
7: Nachos
But not the typical only with cheese and beans, nah that's boring, I like them with meat, sausage, white and yellow cheese, pepper and cambray onions, it's like a barbecue nacho, they grill all the meat and pour it over the nachos with melted cheese, those are my favorite type of nachos.
6: Marrow , Here's another word I had to look for.
Is served with or without the whole bone, the first time I try those I didn't want to taste it, but it smelled so good, it goes spiced. I like to eat it in a taco with lemon and hot home made sauce.
5: Chicken
The one in the photo is from an oriental restaurant I used to go a lot before pandemic, it's served with pinneaple, I ordered that often, but generally I like chichen in all presentations.
4: Fries
And if they go with ketchup, lemon, hot sauce and a beer I could keep eating them without realizing I've eaten my weight in fries.
3: Bread with hot chocolate
Together, the best is to dip the bread in the hot chocolate cup.
2: Spaghetti
That's the thing I cook whenever I want it... I didn't have a picture of only the pasta but well...I like those little chimichangas too.
1: Tacos
Not to be the sterotypical mexican but my favorite food of all are tacos, besides with all the variety of kinds of tacos around I can eat them everyday without feeling that I'm repeating dish, but my favorite ones are meat.
10: Tamales
Los hay dulces, otros rellenos de carne, me gustan todos, incluso el aroma cuando se están calentando es algo que me gusta mucho, aunque prefiero comerlos cuando el clima es frío, son algo así como una tradición decembrina así que los relaciono con el invierno.
9: Hot Cakes
Calientes, esponjosos, cubiertos de maple, oh si, podría comerlos diario si no fuera tan floja para prepararlos o tacaña para pedirlos todos los días.
8: Pan relleno de nata
Básicamente es un pan dulce cortado a la mitad para hacer un sandwich dulce, va relleno de nata, fruta y nutella, una bomba de azúcar pero muy buena, va bien con café amargo.
7: Nachos
Pero no los típicos con queso y frijoles, nop, esos son aburridos, me gustan con carne, salchicha, queso blanco y amarillo, chile y cebolla cambray, son nachos de carne asada, ponen la carne a la parrilla y luego encima de los nachos con el queso derretido, esos son mi tipo de nacho preferidos.
6: Tuétanos
Es servido con o sin el hueso, la primera vez que los probé no se me antojaron mucho, pero olían tan bien, va con especias. Me gusta comerlos en un taco con limón y salsa casera.
5: Pollo
Este de la foto es de un restaurante oriental al que iba mucho antes de la pandemia, lo sirven con piña y lo ordenaba muy seguido, pero en general me gusta el pollo en cualquier presentación.
4: papas
Y si van con catsup, limón, salsa y cerveza puedo seguirlas comiendo sin darme cuenta que consumí mi propio peso en papas.
3: Pan con chocolate caliente
Así junto, remojar el pan en el chocolate es de lo mejor.
2: Espagueti
Es lo único que me cocino cuando se me antoja comerlo... No tenía foto de la pasta sola pero bueno... me gustan esas pequeñas chimichangas también.
1: Tacos
No por ser estereotipo de mexicana pero mi comida preferida de todas son los tacos, además con tanta variedad que hay puedo comerlos por muchos días sin sentir que repito platillo, pero mis preferidos son los de pastor.
