I can shout to the world that you're mine

I can shout to the world that you're mine
but I won't, I don't want to boast,
my words are whispers of harmony,
beneath the silence, our stronghold blossoms.

In the twilight of these silent nights,
where only the moon is witness and friend,
I keep you like a secret in the shadows,
my heart, your refuge, my voice, your garter.

I don't wish to be presumptuous in front of looks,
where at every corner doubts loom,
my love is a river flowing in its waters,
unhurriedly, noiselessly, in its soft moults.

They all have eyes that probe and scrutinize,
every gesture and sigh turns to judgement,
but what we feel, though the world enjoys it,
Is our true and sacred service.

Under laughing stars, in sincere nights,
I carry you in my verses, in every heartbeat,
Though the world looks at us, my love does not alter,
For in the sacred, I have chosen you.
