Jen's date's enthusiasm for cosplay just got weird. Well, weird-er...
Nerd By Northwest #318 – “If You Know, You Know”
(Click on the image to see the full-size version)

As the title suggests, this is an inside joke, one for anyone who's seen the old Thundercats cartoon.
But for those who ARE NOT in on the joke, this is Cheetara...

... and this is Pumyra...

Not bad, right? Thundercats bedroom cosplay is not my thing, but you gotta admit they're attractively drawn.
And that brings us to "Snarf"...

So... yeah. The funny thing is that in this day & age this kind of thing is probably not that weird, and in ten years you'll be considered a prude if you're NOT a little bit attracted to bat-eared cat-lizard things. Western civilization is totally doomed... 😉

I had limited TV access in the 1980s, and what was allowed was mainly PBS, so I missed a lot of that stuff. Thundercats, He-Man, etc. have mostly been a matter of cultural osmosis rather than personal nostalgia.
You may be the lucky one in the long run. A lot of the shows I watched as a kid in the 80's & 90's I looked back with some nostalgia, but when I happened to see them as an adult? Oh, so many were mediocre at best! But, hey, I'm at least thankful I was already a teenager and too old to get into Power Rangers by the time THAT steaming pile of goat-droppings became popular!
I still fondly remember the Disney cartoons like Talespin and Darkwing Duck. The DC Animated Universe still holds up. But most pop culture is garbage.
Snarf! I would have spit out my drink, too! 😂
Oh yeah, Snarf was a playah!
Ya know, the idea of Snarf being the "dominant" one in that relationship somehow seems strangely fitting... 🤨
