I had to look up what Hot Pockets were. Not sure we had them here, but I used to be a fussy eater and one of my kids was too. Most of us grow out of it.

Yeah, they're basically microwaveable meat-sauce-cheese pastries. They have a bunch of different kinds, yet somehow most of them manage to taste close to the same as most of the others. I like to think of them as predecessors to the generic food pills or discs that TV shows like Buck Rogers or the Jetsons and such said we'd be eating in the future... satisfies hunger and provides a bit of taste to go along with it, but that's it. Basically, the ultimate 'Easy Button' for those too lazy or apathetic to make real food. You guys in the UK probably have the same kind of thing, just under a different name. 😏
We have all sorts of snack foods, some of which you may have too. People like convenience.
