El olor a Navidad | the smell of christmas
Aunque suene muy redundante los venezolanos sabemos que cuando llega diciembre (o incluso antes) podemos detectar una especie de olor ligero en el aire que anuncia la navidad, es algo extraño y único, de hecho cada vez que llegaba octubre o noviembre decíamos "huele a diciembre" como respuesta a que sabiamos que se acercaba la navidad con todas sus costumbres, tradiciones y eventos.
En lo personal esto se asemeja más a al sentir de la navidad y que todos estábamos emocionados por la libertad que se tenía (sin trabajo ni clases) para hacer las cosas e incluso se siente un frío ligero por las tardes o las noches también conocido como "brisa decembrina" que nos decía con un ligero soplo que la navidad llegó. Pocos me entenderán en este aspecto, sobre todos mis amigos paisanos venezolanos.
Although it sounds very redundant, Venezuelans know that when December arrives (or even before) we can detect a kind of light smell in the air that announces Christmas, it is something strange and unique, in fact every time October or November arrived we said "it smells like December "in response to the fact that we knew that Christmas was approaching with all its customs, traditions and events.
Personally, this is more similar to the feeling of Christmas and that we were all excited by the freedom that one had (without work or classes) to do things and even feels a slight cold in the afternoons or nights also known as "holiday breeze" that told us with a slight breath that Christmas had arrived. Few will understand me in this regard, above all my fellow Venezuelan countrymen.
El pan de jamón | Ham bread
Algo de lo cual no me puedo resistir es al olor del pan de jamón, recuerdo que mi mamá siempre anda en la cocina y aprendió a hacerlos y les quedan demasiado buenos y no por que sea mi mamá pero las personas decían lo mismo y de sus otros platillos en la cocina.
Recuerdo que una vez hizo un invento y preparó un pan de jamón y le agregó queso amarillo y una de mis primas y yo cuando éramos niños nos peleábamos por la última parte del pan ya que en esa zona es donde tenía más jamón y queso y eso era algo divertido y a la vez sabroso por la delicia del pan y cuando ese pan está cerca es algo muy bueno jejeje...

Hallacas | Hallacas
Definitivamente amo este plato, de las tradiciones venezolanas es demasiado bueno y el olor de la hallaca recién hecha es algo demasiado exquisito te provoca comer y comer hasta más no poder jejeje.
I definitely love this dish, from the Venezuelan traditions it is too good and the smell of the freshly made Halca is something too exquisite, it makes you eat and eat until you can't.
Panettone | Panettone
El panettone tiene un olor indescriptible, desde que tengo uso de razón es rico sea con frutas confitadas o con chispas de chocolates, su olor es bastante dulce y agradable (al menos para mi) es algo que siempre ha de estar en navidad.
Panettone has an indescribable smell, as long as I can remember it is rich whether with candied fruits or with chocolate chips, its smell is quite sweet and pleasant (at least for me) it is something that must always be at Christmas.
Ropa nueva (estrenos) | New clothes (premieres)
Este es uno de los que más amo pero ya no suelo disfrutar tanto, desde niño aquí en Venezuela (no sé en otras partes del mundo) cuando nos compran ropa nueva para navidad (24 y 31 de diciembre) les decíamos los "estrenos" por que era ropa exclusiva para esa noche. El olor de ropa nueva es algo que extraño bastante, de niño mi papá nos compraba ropa a mi y a mi hermano y el olor era bastante agradable por que olía a nuevo jejeje.
This is one of the ones I love the most but I don't usually enjoy that much anymore, since I was a child here in Venezuela (I don't know in other parts of the world) when they buy us new clothes for Christmas (December 24th and 31st) we used to say "premieres" for that it was exclusive clothing for that night. The smell of new clothes is something that I miss a lot, as a child my father bought clothes for me and my brother and the smell was quite pleasant because it smelled like new lol.

Ahhh ok bro, a mi de verdad me encanta, siempre me ha gustado su sabor y su olor es algo único es como dulce y con algo indescriptible. Aquí en casa mi mamá está pensando a ver si podemos hacer un panettone nosotros mismos.
