Ahora bien, ¿Que es un Continente y cuantos existen?
Un Continente no es más que una gran extensión de tierra firme en la superficie del globo terrestre separada por los océanos y, en general, por determinados accidentes geográficos.
Históricamente el planeta tierra se encuentra representado por 5 continentes, sin embargo se han sugerido diversos criterios para ordenar el mapa mundial en función de los continentes. Existen, por lo tanto, varios modelos continentales reconociéndose entre cuatro y siete continentes que varían en número y territorio abarcado.
En este caso solo tomaremos en cuenta aquellos que están habitados y, por ende, considerados territorios como Europa, América, África, Asia y Oceanía.
Now, what is a Continent and how many are there?
A Continent is nothing more than a large expanse of land on the surface of the earth globe separated by oceans and, in general, by certain geographical features.
Historically, the planet earth is represented by 5 continents, however various criteria have been suggested to order the world map according to the continents. There are, therefore, several continental models recognizing between four and seven continents that vary in number and territory covered.
In this case we will only take into account those that are inhabited and, therefore, considered territories such as Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
1) Continente Américano:
Después de Asia es el continente más grande de la Tierra, ocupa gran parte del hemisferio occidental, cubre el 8 % de la superficie total del planeta y el 28,4 % de la tierra emergida, y además concentrando cerca del 12,5 % de la población humana. Se extiende desde el océano Ártico por el norte hasta las islas Diego Ramírez por el sur, en la confluencia de los océanos Atlántico y Pacífico. Debido a su gran tamaño y sus características geográficas, América se subdivide en América del Norte, América Central, y América del Sur.
After Asia, it is the largest continent on Earth, occupying a large part of the western hemisphere, covering 8% of the total surface of the planet and 28.4% of the landmass, and also concentrating about 12.5% of the human population. It extends from the Arctic Ocean in the north to the Diego Ramírez Islands in the south, at the confluence of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Due to its large size and geographic characteristics, America is subdivided into North America, Central America, and South America.
Se encuentra conformado por 35 países dentro de los que destacan México, Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, entre otros.

Este continente es mi preferido porque en América del Sur se encuentra mi hermoso país Venezuela. Ecológicamente es considerado uno de los 20 países más diversos del planeta, posee grandes y variadas riquezas naturales, fauna y flora, climas cálidos y lluvioso en general, geográficamente playas, llanuras y montañas maravillosas, particularmente en el Oriente del país que deleitan a los amantes de la naturaleza. Además, Venezuela es el quinto exportador mayor de petróleo natural con grandes reservas.
This continent is my favorite because in South America is my beautiful country Venezuela. Ecologically it is considered one of the 20 most diverse countries on the planet, it has great and varied natural wealth, fauna and flora, warm and rainy climates in general, geographically beaches, plains and wonderful mountains, particularly in the East of the country that delight lovers of the nature. In addition, Venezuela is the fifth largest exporter of natural oil with large reserves.
Una de las regiones más interesantes de Venezuela que sin duda me gustaría conocer se encuentra al sur del Orinoco: La Gran Sabana y Canaima ubicadas al sureste, en el estado Bolívar, esta región tiene unas montañas de tope aplanado (llamados tepuyes) desde los cuales se ven caídas de agua espectaculares como lo es el Salto Ángel, la cascada más grande del mundo, con una altura cercana a los 1000 metros.
One of the most interesting regions of Venezuela that without a doubt I would like to know is located south of the Orinoco: La Gran Sabana and Canaima located to the southeast, in the state of Bolívar, this region has some mountains with a flattened top (called tepuis) from which You can see spectacular waterfalls such as Angel Falls, the largest waterfall in the world, with a height of close to 1000 meters.

2) Continente Europeo:
Europa es el segundo continente más pequeño del mundo, justo por delante de Oceanía. Se encuentra separada de África por el Mar Mediterráneo, extendiéndose desde los Urales hacia el occidente y hasta la península ibérica. Está compuesto por 56 países entre los cuales, se encuentran Alemania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croacia, Dinamarca, Eslovaquia, España, Finlandia, Francia, Vaticano, Grecia, Hungría, Irlanda, Islandia, España, Italia y muchos más. Quisiera conocer muchos de estos países, España, Italia y la Ciudad del Vaticano se llevan toda mi atención.
Europe is the second smallest continent in the world, just ahead of Oceania. It is separated from Africa by the Mediterranean Sea, extending from the Urals to the west and to the Iberian Peninsula. It is made up of 56 countries among which are Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Spain, Finland, France, Vatican, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy and many more. I would like to know many of these countries, Spain, Italy and the Vatican City take my full attention.
Este continente es impresionante, Europa es reconocido por su gastronomía, como cuna de la música clásica y en general, por el arte y la ciencia desarrollados a lo largo de la historia. Además posee una gran variedad de idiomas (más de 50) entre los que se puede destacar el ruso, inglés, francés, alemán, español y portugués.

Ciudad del Vaticano, Fuente de Imagen
Ciudad que se ubica dentro de Roma, Italia, conocida como la sede central de la Iglesia Católica Romana. Es el hogar del Papa y es un tesoro de la arquitectura y el arte icónicos de inneglabe interés. Sus Museos del Vaticano contienen antiguas esculturas romanas, como la famosa “Laocoonte y sus hijos”, junto con frescos renacentistas en las Salas de Rafael y en la Capilla Sixtina, famosa por el techo pintado por Miguel Ángel, me perdería entre tanta belleza.
City that is located within Rome, Italy, known as the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. It is the home of the Pope and is a treasure trove of iconic architecture and art of undeniable interest. Its Vatican Museums contain ancient Roman sculptures, such as the famous "Laocoon and his sons", along with Renaissance frescoes in the Raphael Rooms and in the Sistine Chapel, famous for the ceiling painted by Michelangelo, I would get lost in so much beauty.
3) Continente Asiático
Es uno de los más grande del planeta y es el continente más poblado, seguido del continente americano, el africano, la Antártida, el Europeo y el continente Oceanía. Está conformado por 48 países, algunos son Afganistán , Arabia Saudita, Armenia, Kazajistán, Laos, Líbano, Japón, India, Mongolia, Rusia, China, entre otros.
It is one of the largest on the planet and is the most populous continent, followed by the American, African, Antarctic, European and Oceania continents. It is made up of 48 countries, some of which are Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Lebanon, Japan, India, Mongolia, Russia, China, among others.
En Asia existe una gran variedad de grupos étnicos (malayos, árabes, armenios, persas, judíos, rusos, etc.) y también se encuentran numerosos sitios sagrados para diversas religiones.
In Asia there is a great variety of ethnic groups (Malays, Arabs, Armenians, Persians, Jews, Russians, etc.) and there are also numerous sacred sites for various religions.
Dato Curioso: Asia y Europa no están físicamente separados pues forman parte de una masa de tierra nombrada Eurasia, pero ambos se consideran continentes diferentes debido a que cada uno tiene sus propias características étnicas, lingüísticas, históricas y, en general, culturales.
Fun Fact: Asia and Europe are not physically separated as they are part of a land mass named Eurasia, but both are considered different continents because each has its own ethnic, linguistic, historical and, in general, cultural.
Entre los países que quisiera conocer esta la India porque es un país diverso, increíblemente rico en cultura y patrimonio. Sería genial experimentar una gran variedad de estaciones, belleza natural, sitios históricos, arquitectura magnífica, clima, infraestructura moderna y mucho más. India es una tierra de ferias y festivales que se celebran con gran entusiasmo a lo largo de todo el año, en compañía de amigos y queridos ofrezciendo oraciones a los Dioses y Diosas.
Among the countries that I would like to know is India because it is a diverse country, incredibly rich in culture and heritage. It would be great to experience a wide variety of seasons, natural beauty, historical sites, magnificent architecture, weather, modern infrastructure, and much more. India is a land of fairs and festivals that are celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the year, in the company of friends and loved ones offering prayers to the Gods and Goddesses.
4) Continente Africano:
África es el tercer continente del mundo por extensión geográfica tras Asia y América. Limita al norte con el Mar Mediterráneo, al oeste con el Océano Atlántico y al este con el Mar Rojo, el Océano Índico y Asia a través del canal de Suez. Cuna de la humanidad y de allí proceden las sucesivas especies de Homínidos y Antropoides que dieron lugar a los seres humanos y que se han ido expandiendo por el resto de continentes.
Africa is the third continent in the world by geographical extension after Asia and America. It is bordered to the north by the Mediterranean Sea, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, and to the east by the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean and Asia through the Suez Canal. Cradle of humanity and from there come the successive species of Hominids and Anthropoids that gave rise to human beings and that have been expanding throughout the rest of the continents.
Está conformado por 54 países entre los que se encuentran, Angola, Eritrea, Etiopía, Gabón, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Argelia, Cabo Verde, Camerún, Chad, Comoras, Costa de Marfil, Egipto, entre otros.

Egipto es conocido con nombres como: “La madre del mundo” o “Cuna de civilizaciones”, debido a las diferentes civilizaciones que han confluido en su territorio a lo largo de la historia, desde las diferentes dinastías faraónicas hasta las épocas de mayor esplendor del Islam, todas ellas han legado al país una herencia que merece la atención de toda la humanidad. Este país ha cobrado fama internacional como la tierra mágica de los faraones y de las pirámides, me gustaría visitar Egipto y detallar mejor ya que solo lo he visto en algunas peliculas.
Egypt is known by names like: "The mother of the world" or "Cradle of civilizations", due to the different civilizations that have converged in its territory throughout history, from the different pharaonic dynasties to the times of greatest splendor of the Islam, all of them have bequeathed the country a heritage that deserves the attention of all humanity. This country has gained international fame as the magical land of the pharaohs and the pyramids, I would like to visit Egypt and detail it better since I have only seen it in some movies.
5) Continente Oceanía
El continente más pequeño y menos poblando del mundo es Oceanía, con apenas 9.008.458 km2 de superficie, de los cuales 27.760 km son costas y 785.753 km2 pertenecen a Nueva Guinea. Se ubica al sur del Océano Pacífico, al oeste del Océano Índico y al sureste del continente asiático.
Esta zona se encuentra conformada por 14 países entre los que se encuentran: Australia, Fiji, Islas Marshall, Islas Salomón, Kiribati, Micronesia, Nauru, Nueva Zelanda, Palaos, Papúa Nueva Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, y otros.

Lo interesante de este continente es la importante biodiversidad que presenta, ecosistemas tropicales, subtropicales, marinos, de tundra y de alta montaña. Está caracterizado por numerosas especies endémicas, como el oso Koala, el Canguro, el célebre demonio de Tasmania, el ornitorrinco y el possum de cola de escoba que se han convertido en verdaderos símbolos del continente.
The interesting thing about this continent is the important biodiversity it presents, tropical, subtropical, marine, tundra and high mountain ecosystems. It is characterized by numerous endemic species, such as the Koala bear, the Kangaroo, the famous Tasmanian devil, the platypus and the broom-tailed possum that have become true symbols of the continents.
Australia es un país rodeado por los océanos Índico y Pacífico. Es increíble, con una naturaleza impactante y hermosa, maravillosas playas y interminables carreteras de las cuales quiero disfrutar. Además tiene especies animales únicas, como el canguro y el ornitorrinco.
Australia is a country surrounded by the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It is incredible, with stunning and beautiful nature, wonderful beaches and endless roads that I want to enjoy. It also has unique animal species, such as the kangaroo and the platypus.
Dato Curioso: En Australia viven el doble de Canguros que humanos.
Fun Fact: Twice as many Kangaroos as humans live in Australia.
