Hello everyone. I'm accepting this invitation again to the Sunday miracle initiative. Today I'm sharing several of these miraculous gifts.
The first is this ornament I received in Cuba before I emigrated. It's not a valuable object in itself. It's a simple ceramic mug with the colors of my homeland. But for me, it's more than just decoration: at home, we use it every morning to drink coffee.
That's the miracle. In that moment, as I hold the mug with both hands and feel the warmth, I'm not here. I'm in my homeland, in my beloved Cuba.
These mugs have the power to transport me back to my homeland.
The taste of coffee, the ritual of drinking it from this specific cup, anchors me to who I was and what I left behind. It's not nostalgia; it's a tangible, daily reconnection with my identity. It's physical proof that my past was real.
The second miraculous gift is too big for my hands. It's the messages and photos I receive daily. Like this photo my friend Abel sent. There he is next to another friend of ours, the playwright Irán Capote. Even more importantly, they're at the premiere of Irán's play at the Havana theater festival.
When I see it, the miracle happens. The distance shrinks. Suddenly, Abel isn't hundreds of miles away, but right here with me, on this very street next to Iran.
These messages are a direct thread to my people, to my former life. They remind me that, although my location has changed, my ties remain. They keep me present in their lives and they in mine, despite the geography.
These things are miracles because they work without logical explanation. A cup shouldn't have the power to transport a man through time and space. An image on a screen shouldn't be able to alleviate loneliness. But they do. Their value lies not in what they are, but in what they evoke: an immediate and unbreakable connection with what matters most. That is the true, and only, miracle.

Hola, estimados. Acepto nuevamente esta invitación a la iniciativa de milagros del domingo. Hoy traigo varios de estos regalos milagrosos.
El primero es este adorno que me dieron en Cuba, antes de emigrar. No es un objeto valioso en sí. Es una simple taza de cerámica con los colores de mi tierra. Pero para mí, es más que una mera decoración: en casa, todas las mañanas la utilizamos para tomar el café.
Ese es el milagro. En ese momento, mientras sostengo la taza con ambas manos y siento el calor, no estoy aquí. Estoy en mi tierra, en mi amada Cuba.
Estas tazas tienen el poder de transportarme de vuelta a mi tierra.
El sabor del café, el ritual de beberlo en esta taza específica, me ancla a quien fui y a lo que dejé atrás. No es nostalgia; es una reconexión tangible y diaria con mi identidad. Es la prueba física de que mi pasado fue real.
El segundo regalo milagroso no cabe en mis manos. Son los mensajes y las fotos que recibo a diario. Como esta foto que mandó mi amigo Abel.
Ahí está al lado de otro amigo nuestro, el dramaturgo Irán Capote. Para mayor importancia, se encuentran en el estreno de la obra de Irán en el festival de teatro de La Habana.
Cuando la veo, el milagro sucede. La distancia se acorta. De pronto, Abel no está a cientos de kilómetros, sino aquí conmigo, en esta misma calle junto a Irán.
Esos mensajes son un hilo directo a mi gente, a mi vida anterior. Me recuerdan que, aunque mi ubicación cambió, mis lazos permanecen. Me mantienen presente en sus vidas y ellos en la mía, a pesar de la geografía.
Estas cosas son milagros porque funcionan sin explicación lógica. Una taza no debería tener el poder de transportar a un hombre a través del tiempo y el espacio. Una imagen en una pantalla no debería poder mitigar la soledad. Pero lo hacen. Su valor no está en lo que son, sino en lo que provocan: una conexión inmediata e inquebrantable con lo que más importa. Ese es el verdadero, y único, milagro.
