RE: How Ukrainian Refugees are living in Almere, Netherlands | 11 months of the war in Ukraine - life update

Food for us is the important thing. It seems that the consumption of the world is increasing dramatically, but still some people face the lack of food and water as well. I think as we live in the same planet, sharing is a good thing for us to do as well as to help those needed people.

Exactly and after noticing the market price due to inflation, I guess in the future many people will die because of hunger...

Sharing is caring always...

Have you ever had personal experience of collecting and distributing food?

In Germany and the Netherlands, for example, to name just two examples, at least no one really has to go hungry.

There are countless aid organisations that you can easily find and that don't put up any hurdles to get food. At any rate, food is the least of all problems here. You just need to know the addresses and names of social centres and food distribution points - a few clicks away. I accompanied my husband for a while who joined the foodsharing organisation and they have agreements with countless supermarkets and bakeries etc. who give their leftover goods to the collectors.

We regularly had problems redistributing the vast amounts of food left over from supermarkets, events and bakery shops. Because no one could even eat all the food themselves or redistribute it to their circles. So people go around wanting to give the food to the homeless and they just wave it off because they get enough to eat. Food is not the problem in western societies. As long as the discounters have goods in abundance on the shelves, events with food-caterings take place, no one will die or suffer from hunger. It is complete nonsense to even believe such things.
