Except for Donbass, where the Ukrainian government has waged war for 8 years on its own people. They also made it illegal ever since, to protest the war. Its a criminal offense to protest "mobilization" in Donbass. In fact, people in Western Ukraine were protesting FOR war, while it was made illegal to protest against. So know who you're supporting.
