It's been raining all day today. I look with pain in my heart at the photos of destroyed places and buildings in the once picturesque Ukrainian city of Trostyanets, Sumy region. The weather is crying with me. Because russian orcs destroyed a new children's library in Trostyanets, for which I and my friends from Germany bought books five years ago to replenish funds. Now this library is closed forever.
Сьогодні цілий день іде дощ. Я із болем у серці дивлюся на фото зруйнованих місць і будівель в колись мальовничому українському місті Тростянець, Сумська область. Погода плаче разом зі мною. Бо два дні тому російські орки зруйнували у в Тростянці публічну бібліотеку, для якої я п'ять років тому разом із моїми друзями з Німеччини закуповувала дитячі книжки для поповнення фондів.

Також російські потвори зруйнували у Тростянці лікарню, в яку ці самі мої друзі вклали колосальні кошти, і відкрили там три роки тому найсучасніше в Україні пологове відділення. Уперше відвідавши Україну у 2010 році і побувавши за останні роки майже в усіх її куточках, друзі з Німеччини закохалися в мою країну. Вони відкрили для себе самобутність української культури, її багатовікову спадщину, традиції, та насамперед були враженні душевною відкритістю й гостинністю українців.
Since then, we have conducted many joint cultural projects with their private patronage, including in Trostyanets. My German friends helped the Ukrainian army during the 2014-2021 war with russia, from which the world then distanced itself and simply called it a 'conflict'.

Їм байдуже, що такі самі росіяни, як і вони, у момент, коли якийсь російській ліберал замовляє собі дороге вино в ресторані Ніци чи Мілану, в Україні убивають людей. Є місця на рідній землі дорогі для серця! Вірніше були, бо деякі знищені вщент, деякі є надія відбудувати. Дивлюся старі фотографії і відчуваю, що забрали частинку душі.
Вони щодня нас обкрадають. Але ніколи не зможуть відібрати у нас пам'ять і спогади про улюблені місця, людей. Поступово ми все відбудуємо. На жаль, не повернемо тих, хто вже не з нами.
Неодноразово чула про це красиве містечко,зокрема про його парк та замок (чи то палац). Мріяла туди якось поїхати,адже там проводили фестивалі середньовічної культури, які мене цікавили.
Оркам дійсно нема ніякого діла ні до людей,ні до культури чи мистецтва.

Education give illumination to the blur, dark and uncertain future. It helps in preparation.
This war has really tampered with the educational system as everyone seems to seek for safety first.

As a whole country, we oppose this unfair conflict against Ukraine. My heart aches especially when I see the attacks on the education centers of young children and the destroyed buildings. As an educator, it is really sad that children are injured in such a psychology, I hope everything will be alright as soon as possible.

Perhaps it's a "super power syndrom". I do remember quite some years ago that the US was going to launch a "shock and awe"-campaign against Iraq. My friend from the US was celebrating the news, hoping that they would "kill as many Iraqi bastards as possible" during the campaign. I was quite shocked to hear that - but it occurred to me that this probably was representative for the US population as such. And probably quite some Russians are thinking the same about "Ukraine Nazis" - that they deserve what's coming. (though, most of them believe it's Ukrainians denying civilians to leave their cities and purposefully shelling their own cities ... totally crazy).
Still, it's wrong to stigmatize every Russian. There are good people as well. We found this one yesterday:

I don't know what to say, I am also ashamed of my country (germany) that they always brake.
They had at least 8 years time (since 2014) to look for energy from elsewhere but they done nothing in this time or even worse they closed nuclear power plants and coal power plants to can produce electric energy with russian gas and now they tell that they cannot live without russian gas.
I really think they should buy nothing more from Russia.
