Привіт! Сьогодні поговоримо про гарну монету, що є відображенням української культури й одночасно присвячена одному з представників тваринного світу — леву. Не варто її плутати з монетою Лев також зі срібла, що викарбувана у 2008 році та присвячена сузір'ю. До речі, саме цих монет регулятор випустив аж 15 тисяч штук.
Монета, що розглядається, має вагу 16.81 г. При цьому вага срібла 925 проби складає 15.55 г. Її розмір 33 мм. Загалом було виготовлено у 2017 році 4 тисячі екземплярів.
Початкова ціна на момент введення в обіг складала 579 гривень. Нині ж вона зросла приблизно в 10 разів, але в нинішніх умовах складно говорити про вартість срібної монети в гривнях. Для допису “Лев: монета із серії “Фауна в пам'ятках культури України”, срібло. Номінал 5 гривень, 2017” використано дві світлини з офіційного сайту Національного банку України.
Головним елементом монети із серії “Фауна в пам'ятках культури України” є лев, якого, як і інших звірів люди здавна зображали на деревині, каменях та інших матеріалах. Сьогодні такі зображення стали неоціненними пам'ятками культури та історії.
Реверс. Ця сторона монети розділена вертикальною лінією. Зліва та справа нанесено зображення лева. При цьому в правій частині викарбувано історичний фрагмент з 11 століття. Тут же у вертикальному напрямку нанесено назву срібної монети з гладким гуртом.
Лицьова сторона. У верхній частині нанесена національна символіка, нижче й правіше — номінал та рік введення пам'ятної монети в обіг. В локальній позолоті у лівій частині викарбувано зображення лева періоду 8 століття. Це один з фрагментів Херсонеського музею. У правій частині цей фрагмент дублюється в оригінальній тарелі, але вже без позолоти.

Hello! Today we will talk about a beautiful coin that is a reflection of Ukrainian culture and at the same time dedicated to one of the representatives of the animal world - the lion. It should not be confused with the Leo coin, also made of silver, minted in 2008 and dedicated to the constellation. By the way, the regulator issued as many as 15,000 of these coins.
The considered coin has a weight of 16.81 g. At the same time, the weight of 925 silver is 15.55 g. Its size is 33 mm. A total of 4,000 copies were produced in 2017.
The initial price at the time of introduction into circulation was 579 hryvnias. Reverse. This side of the coin is divided by a vertical line. On the left and right is the image of a lion. At the same time, a historical fragment from the 11th century is engraved in the right part. Here, in the vertical direction, the name of the silver coin with a smooth band is inscribed.
Front side. In the upper part, the national symbols are applied, below and to the right - the denomination and the year of introduction of the commemorative coin into circulation. In the local gilding in the left part, an image of a lion from the period of the 8th century is engraved. This is one of the fragments of the Chersonese museum. In the right part, this fragment is duplicated in the original plate, but without gilding.
