100th day of the war.

Of the war, that has actually lasted for about 3,000 days.
It has been an eternity since the day we woke up from the explosions. At the same time, it seems like it was some kind of terrible dream.

100 днів війни, яка насправді тривала близько 3000 днів.
Пройшла ціла вічність із того дня, як ми прокинулися від вибухів. Водночас, здається, що це був якийсь страшний сон.

The first month passed in fear and numbness. Now we are watching the videos we made at that time, and we cannot understand how we could go to stores to the sounds of MLRS and not go crazy. But until now (and probably for the rest of my life) I can not forget the feelings that I experienced from each air raid signal and explosion at first. I remember how cold my feet were in the shelter basement at the end of February. I remember helping old people - confused, frightened and angry - to find shelter.

Перший місяць пройшов у страху та заціпенінні. Зараз переглядаємо відео, зроблені нами в той час, і не можемо зрозуміти, як ми могли ходити в магазини під звуки РСЗВ і не божеволіти. Але досі (і, мабуть, на все життя) не можу забути почуття, які відчувала від кожного сигналу повітряної тривоги та вибухів спочатку. Пам'ятаю, як мерзли ноги у підвалі наприкінці лютого. Пам'ятаю, як допомагали стареньким - розгубленим, наляканим і сердитим - знайти укриття.

One of the leading Israeli publishers Haartz published an article by Lisa Rozovsky about what real Ukrainian nationalism is. I liked this article for its clear, unbiased historical references and honest analysis - without embellishment or denigration. According to the author, Ukrainian nationalism, which so triggers propagandists in russia, is patriotism in the classical Western sense of the word. I believe that over the past 100 days, Ukrainians have shown what it means to be a true patriot and what a civil society should be like. During this time, we managed to frustrate the kremlin's ambitious plans and radically change their rhetoric: from "conquering Kyiv in three days" to "we are fighting the strongest army in Europe."

Одне з провідних ізраїльських видавництв Haartz опублікувало статтю авторства Ліза Розовські про те, що таке справжній український націоналізм. Ця стаття сподобалася мені своїми чіткими, неупередженими історичними посиланнями та чесним аналізом – без прикрашання та без очорнення. На думку авторки, український націоналізм, який так тригерить пропагандистів на росії, це патріотизм у класичному західному розумінні слова. Я вважаю, що за останні 100 днів українці показали, що означає бути справжнім патріотом та яким має бути громадянське суспільство. За цей час нам вдалося зірвати амбітні плани кремля і кардинально змінити їхню риторику: від "взяти Київ за три дні" до "ми воюємо з найсильнішою армією в Європі".

Ukraine has become an example for the entire democratic world, who have united in helping us - some more, some less; someone sincerely, and someone because of their interests. Nevertheless, the whole world must understand that truth always wins over lies, and we are fighting on the side of truth: for our lands and our future. We simply have no other choice.

Україна стала прикладом для всього демократичного світу, який об'єднався у допомозі нам – хтось більше, хтось менше; хтось щиро, а хтось через свої інтереси. Проте весь світ повинен розуміти, що правда завжди перемагає брехню, а ми воюємо на боці правди: за свої землі та своє майбутнє. В нас просто немає іншого вибору.

Those hundred days were also a period of incredible, everyday grief. Tears, despair, anger, desire for revenge. During the war in Ukraine, the military of the russian federation completely destroyed Mariupol, Volnovakha, Rubizhne, Popasna, Lyman and Sievierodonetsk. Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the President's Office, said the occupiers have destroyed more than 350,000 objects. We do not know the exact figures for the dead, either among the military or among civilians. But we know for sure that much more civilians died than the military. In Mariupol alone, we are talking about 20,000 dead - according to the most conservative preliminary estimates. During these more than three months, we have almost 250 child deaths, and this is only official data. 250 innocent angels who got in the way of someone's ambitions.

Ці сто днів були також періодом неймовірного щоденного горя. Сліз, розпачу, агресії, бажання помсти. Військові росії за час війни в Україні повністю знищили Маріуполь, Волноваху, Рубіжне, Попасну, Лиман та Сєверодонецьк. Кирило Тимошенко, заступник голови офісу президента, заявив, що окупанти зруйнували понад 350 тис. об'єктів. Ми не знаємо точних цифр щодо загиблих, ні серед військових, ні серед цивільних. Але ми точно знаємо, що громадських загинуло набагато більше, ніж військових. В одному Маріуполі йдеться про 20 000 загиблих - за найскромнішими попередніми оцінками. За ці понад три місяці маємо майже 250 дитячих смертей, і це лише офіційні дані. 250 невинних ангелів, які завадили чиїмось амбіціям.

This war changed us all forever. The lives of many people will never be the same again. But I believe in our victory and that time will put everything in its place. It is important not to stop telling - no, shouting - to the whole world that the war CONTINUES, it has not gone away. The defenders of Azovstal still have not returned home. Fierce fighting is still going on in Sievierodonetsk. In Kherson, Ukrainian patriots and activists are still hunted down, tortured and killed. Enerhodar is still occupied, as well as Donbas and Crimea. You can’t give up, you need to continue to help every day. Even 10 UAH and one post on a social network are of tremendous importance.

Ця війна назавжди змінила нас усіх. Життя багатьох людей вже ніколи не будуть колишніми. Але я вірю в нашу перемогу і в те, що час все розставить на свої місця. Важливо не переставати говорити, - ні, кричати - на весь світ про те, що війна продовжується, вона нікуди не поділася. Захисники Азовсталі ще не повернулися додому. У Сєвєродонецьку все ще точаться запеклі бої. У Херсоні все ще вишукують, катують та вбивають українських патріотів та активістів. Все ще окупований Енергодар, так само як Донбас та Крим. Не можна опускати руки, треба допомагати щодня. Навіть 10 грн та один пост у соціальній мережі мають колосальне значення.
