So, hello, the Arctic Ocean !? Of course it's a joke :) But these are the emotions I felt when I first approached the Mediterranean on March 12, when we arrived in Kemer.
After all, I thought that I was going to warm in Turkey and would definitely swim. Can I, a person who can swim in Ukraine in November at a water temperature of 12 degrees, be afraid to swim in Turkey, if the water temperature is 16 and the air temperature in the yard is also 16?
Отож, привіт Північно - льодовитий океан!? Звичайно це жарт :) Але саме такі емоції я відчула, коли вперше наблизилась до Середземного моря 12 березня, коли ми прибули в Кемер. Адже я думала, що я їду в теплу Туреччину і буду купатись обов'язково. Хіба мені, людині, яка може купатись в Україні в листопаді при температурі води 12 градусів, може бути страшно купатись в Туреччині, якщо температура води 16 і на дворі температура повітря теж 16 ?
We walked the small streets of Kemer to greet our favorite Mediterranean Sea, which we already fell in love with when we spent two holidays in September in Turkey. It was as warm as a bath. And there were no jellyfish or other nasty creatures. We loved sitting in it for hours and enjoying its smell. I wonder what the Mediterranean is like in March ?! Remembering these days, we passed the main square, where sculptures of camels were installed against the backdrop of the blue mountains of Tahtalidag. Very exotic!
Ми йшли маленькими вуличками Кемера, щоб привітати наше улюблене Середземне море, яке ми вже встигли полюбити, коли двічі відпочивали в вересні в Туреччині. Воно було настільки тепле, наче ванна. І не було жодних медуз чи інших неприємних тварин. Ми любили сидіти в ньому годинами і насолоджуватись його запахом. Цікаво, яке Середземне море в березні?! Пригадуючи ці дні, проминули головну площу, де були встановлені скульптури верблюдів на тлі синіх гір Тахталидаг. Дуже екзотично!
We turned along a small river, which obviously flows into the sea. Here is the main street where the best most expensive first line hotels are located. Here we were met by an extremely gentle cat, who purred loudly and rubbed his feet :) There are many cats in Turkey and they have the status of a sacred animal.
Finally we heard the sound of the waves and saw the incredibly beautiful blue sea!
Повернули вздовж маленької річки, яка очевидно тече до моря. Ось головна вулиця, де розташовані найкращі найдорожчі готелі першої лінії. Тут нас зустрів надзвичайно лагідний котик, який голосно муркотів і терся об ноги :) В Туреччині є дуже багато котів і вони тут мають статус священної тварини.
Нарешті ми почули шум хвиль і побачили неймовірно красиве синє море!
But we saw an unfamiliar sea, harsh and cold!
How much I underestimated the elements of the sea, if I thought I would swim in March! This is not my small pond in the village of Rokytne :) But in fact it was like this: by the time we got to Kemer, it was getting cold. The Turks told us that this was unusual weather for Turkey. It was 12 degrees outside, and the sea was stormy and the cold north wind was blowing! I made a video where you can feel the power of the waves crashing against the shore:
Але ми побачили незнайоме море, суворе та холодне! Наскільки ж я недооцінила стихію моря, якщо думала що буду купатись в березні! Це ж не мій маленький ставок в селі Рокитне :) А насправді було так: поки ми доїхали до Кемера, прийшло похолодання. Турки сказали нам, що це невластива погода для Туреччини. Надворі було 12 градусів тепла, а море штормило і дув холодний північний вітер! Я зняла відео, де ти можеш відчути силу хвиль, які вдаряються в берег.
Imagine when we approached the sea, I was wearing a winter jacket and winter boots. And I froze so cold on the shore that I put on my gloves. So our dream of basking in sunny Turkey in March has been unfulfilled so far! True, on March 30, I still opened the bathing season, but I'll write about it later ...
Уявіть собі, коли ми підійшли до моря, я була одягнена в зимову куртку та зимові черевики. І я настільки замерзла на березі, що одягнула рукавиці. Отож наша мрія погрітися в сонячній Туреччині в березні виявилась нездійсненною, поки що! Правда, 30 березня, я все ж таки відкрила купальний сезон, але про це напишу пізніше...
So, we enjoyed the energy of this storm and went for a walk in the mountains. The next day we went to explore the parks of Kemer and found a fascinating bay in the moonlight park. A little girl was running barefoot on the beach, running in the waves. I thought I wanted to too. The water was really warm enough, only the weather was cold and we froze :)
There are several cafes on the beach, near which there is often a barbecue and you can warm up. But Turkish cafes are not suitable for winter and inside is also cold. There are radiators that warm the air a bit, but we sit in winter jackets and our feet are still cold. And here begins our story of crazy fans of black Turkish tea :)
Отож, ми насолодились енергією цієї бурі і пішли далі гуляти серед гір. Наступного дня ми пішли досліджувати парки Кемера і знайшли захоплюючу бухту в парку Moonlight. На пляжі бігала маленька дівчинка босоніж, забігаючи в хвилі. Я подумала, що теж так хочу. Вода справді була достатньо теплою, лише погода була холодною і ми мерзли :)
Тут на пляжі розташовано кілька кафе, біля яких часто горить мангал і можна погрітись. Але турецькі кафе не пристосовані для зими і всередині є також холодно. Там є колорифери, які трохи нагрівають повітря, але ми сидимо в зимових куртках і в ноги все одно холодно. І тут починається наша історія шалених прихильників чорного турецького чаю :)
In Turkey, black tea is served in special clear glass cups and very often you order one cup, and later one or two will be brought to you for free! It all depends on how friendly the cafe owners are, and since we are three pretty girls, we were often given such a "compliment" :) In Ukraine, I almost never drink black tea with sugar, but in Turkey I drink it several times for the day and I enjoy it! Magic cups apparently :)
В Туреччині чорний чай подають в спеціальних прозорих скляних чашках і дуже часто ти замовляєш одну чашку, а пізніше ще одну чи дві вам принесуть безкоштовно! Все залежить від того наскільки привітними є господарі кафе , а оскільки ми три симпатичні дівчини то нам часто робили такий "комплімент" :) В Україні я майже ніколи не п'ю чорний чай з цукром, але в Туреччині я п'ю його кілька раз на день і отримую від цього задоволення! Магія чашечки мабуть :)
That's how we walked in the moonlight park for a long time, and it was once a full moon, and my girls were running by the sea, and I'm fascinated by the beautiful picture of the sky, as always took photos! I used to be afraid to go for a walk with my girls in unfamiliar Turkey late at night. But now I feel very calm and protected here.
We have escaped the horror that is happening in Ukraine now. And it's really indescribably difficult to read and listen to what people seem to be doing, but in fact non-humans with Ukrainian girls! Yesterday I read this terrible story, and there are many such stories ... I rode the bus and sobbing shook my body! My Victoria said: Mom, don't read! But I must know and remember why I took my dear sunny girls from Ukraine on this journey "it is unknown how much and where" until God tells me to return home!

Ось так ми гуляли а парку місячного світла довго, і був якось повний місяць, і мої дівчата бігали на березі моря, а я захоплена красивою картиною неба, як завжди робила фото! Колись я боялась би ось так, пізно ввечері гуляти з моїми дівчатками в незнайомій Туреччині. Але тепер я себе почуваю тут дуже спокійно та захищено. Ми втекли від того жахіття, яке зараз відбувається в Україні. І це справді невимовно важко читати і слухати про те, що роблять начебто люди, але насправді нелюди з українськими дівчатами! Вчора я прочитала цю страшну історію, а таких історій багато... Я їхала в автобусі і ридання трясли моє тіло! Моя Вікторія сказала: мамо не читай! Але я повинна знати і пам'ятати про це, чому я забрала своїх дорогих сонячних дівчат з України в цю подорож "невідомо наскільки і куди", аж поки Бог не скаже повернутись додому!
Аж поки зло не буде знищене! І українські дітки знову будуть бігати під мирним небом

Its look like thorough your post i felt i was in turky as you explained so well. In this kind of situation though you are in other country but from your face still can see you not happy like you were in Ukraine and it can understandable. I hope girls are happy there and they enjoy because in such a young age this kind of country situation not good. You took photos so nicely and place looks so good. you are right with your line that you three girls are very pretty so you get good compliments ☺️❤️. Hope everything alright and take care ❤️.

Good that you have been in Turkiye before, thus you don't feel strange at all. The old cold days have just passed by, the weather has been pefect so far in this week. We had enough cold this year. Right now, there is lodos blowing in Istanbul. It is wind from southwest, which makes the air suffocating. Perhaps, it is there as well.

I fell in love with Turkey and the Turkish people! They sincerely pray to Allah. There is goodness and love in their actions.
Apparently, this country became my second Crimea, where I often went when Crimea was Ukraine.
We have a great hospitability and we never shut the door if someone in need knocks it ;)
I am so happy to hear the safety from you. It is really heartbreaking. These peace-loving people, suffered a lot. The real story is that when they get home and see their home destroyed and they have no job anymore, what will they do? This will be a HUGE disaster for millions. But, I pray the world will find peace soon and I hope.🙏

Прекрасне місце. Море виглядає неймовірно. А страшна історія - прекрасний підтвердження того, що моючи можливість виїхати - нею треба користуватись, особливо жінкам.
Ті покедьки, що знущаються на окупованій території, як і їхні нащадки ще довго будуть розплачуватись за скояне.
Кров стине в жилах, якщо уявляти це! Я маю особливо тендітну психіку... Сцени згвалтування, які я бачила в деяких фільмах багато років тому, до сих пір перед моїми очима... Це один з найстаріших злочинів, і правильно ви кажете: нащадки будуть платити довго, якщо вони в тих нелюдів є...

В цьому році теж хотіли поїхати до Турції, взяти в арену авто та насолодитись її краєвидами.. але зараз замість цього споглядаємо жахіття, які проходять в нашій Україні та безпосередньо в нашому регіоні.. війна прийшла несподівано..
