Три роки тому ми з сім'єю відпочивали на півдні України, неподалік від Генічеська, у Херсонській області. Ці фото були зроблені саме там, на світанку одного з десяти надзвичайно щасливих днів. Коли зійшло сонце, то залило своїм криваво-червоним сяйвом пляж, море та небо над ним. Такий відтінок обумовлений особливостями заломлення сонячних променів, але зараз це видається пророчою ознакою, адже Генічеськ було окуповано у перший день російського вторгнення.
Three years ago, my family and I were vacationing in the south of Ukraine, not far from Henichesk, in the Kherson region. These photos were taken right there, at the dawn of one of the ten extremely happy days. When the sun rose, it flooded the beach, the sea and the sky above it with its blood-red radiance. This shade is due to the peculiarities of the refraction of the sun's rays, but now it seems a prophetic sign, because Genichesk was occupied on the first day of the Russian invasion.
Генічеськ і досі перебуває під російською окупацією, бо південь України, на відміну від півночі, українська армія ще не звільнила. Я вірю в те, що це неодмінно станеться, але я справді переживаю за тих українців, які зараз знаходяться на окупованій території, адже звірства росіян в Бучі, Ірпені, Бородянці та інших містах та містечках Київської, Сумської та Чернігівської областей, які наша армія вже звільнила, продовжують жахати.
Henichesk is still under Russian occupation, because the south of Ukraine, unlike the north, has not yet been liberated by the Ukrainian army. I believe that this will definitely happen, but I really feel sorry for those Ukrainians who are now in the occupied territories, because the atrocities of the Russians in Bucha, Irpen, Borodyanka and other cities and towns of Kyiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions, which our army already cleared of Russians, continue to be horrified.
Останнім часом з окупованого Генічеська поступає дуже мало новин. Трохи раніше повідомлялося, що місцеві жителі підпалили військомат, де базувалися окупаційні війська росіян. Також ЗМІ повідомляли про те, що росіяни намагаються впровадити в обіг російські рублі, без особливого успіху. Свіжих новин немає. Я дуже сподіваюся, що там все добре, наскільки це зараз можливо, зважаючи на повну відсутність моралі у російських солдат, які гвалтують та вбивають навіть дітей.
There has been very little news coming from occupied Genichesk lately. Earlier it was reported that locals set fire to the military enlistment office where the Russian occupation forces were based. The media also reported that the Russians were trying to put Russian rubles into circulation, without much success. There is no fresh news. I very much hope that everything is as good as possible now, given the complete lack of morale of Russian soldiers who rape and kill even children.
