Hoy voy a contarle de un tema muy importante, el cual ha sido un poco preocupante para mi.
Mi hija ya hace tiempo, desde los 5 años de edad usa lentes 👓y es por la genética ya que su padre y yo también lo padecemos, al igual que el astigmatismo.
Los primeros síntomas:
Me di cuenta que ella necesitaba lentes 👓por que continuamente le dolía la cabeza, cerraba los ojos para poder distinguir y se acercaba mucho para poder leer algo, además la maestra me decía que ella no leía desde el pupitre.
La primera consulta📝:
Entonces estuve averiguando en varias clínicas para llevarla a un buen Dr. Oftalmologo y una amiga me recomendó el Hospital San Juan de Dios, la llevé y le hicieron todos sus estudios y me dieron la formula para sus primeros lentes 👓, fuimos emocionadas a que se probara algunas monturas.

My daughter has been wearing glasses for a while now, since she was 5 years old 👓and it's because of genetics since her father and I also suffer from it, as well as astigmatism.

I realized that she needed glasses 👓because she continually had a headache, she would close her eyes to be able to distinguish and she would get too close to be able to read something, also the teacher told me that she did not read from the desk.

Then I was inquiring in several clinics to take her to a good Dr. Ophthalmologist and a friend recommended me the Hospital San Juan de Dios, I took her and they did all her studies and gave me the formula for her first glasses 👓, we went excitedly for her to try on some frames.
Sus primeros lentes:
Ella misma escogió sus monturas a su medida para mandar a hacerle los cristales con su formula, recuerdo que había pedido algo de dinero en mi trabajo para poder comprárselos, se los mandamos a hacer antireflejo para que pudiera usar su tablet, pero un día resulta que se los estaba limpiando y vi que tenía algo pelado en los cristales y resulta que era la película antireflejo que se le estaba despegando y ella con su inocencia comenzó a quitárselo y cuando los estaba limpiando se les estaba terminando de caer y a mi me dio una crisis de depresión por que aun estaba pagandolos y ya no servían, los tenia que volver a mandar a hacer, yo lloré esa vez de la impotencia y pues la regañe pero luego me di cuenta que en realidad ella era inocente de todo y no sabía lo que estaba haciendo, así que hablé con ella y le pedí que me disculpara por mí actitud y que ella no tenía la culpa de lo que había pasado pero que la próxima vez debía decirme antes de hacer algo así, sin darle detalles del dinero que había pedido para eso por que ella no tenía por que cargar con eso.

She herself chose her frames to her size to have the lenses made with her formula, I remember I had asked for some money at my work to buy them for her, we had them made anti-reflective so she could use her tablet, But one day I was cleaning them and I saw that she had something peeled on the lenses and it turned out that it was the anti-reflective film that was peeling off and she with her innocence began to take it off and when she was cleaning them they were falling off and I had a depression crisis because I was still paying for them and they were no longer useful, I cried that time of impotence and I scolded her but then I realized that in reality she was innocent of everything and did not know what she was doing, so I talked to her and asked her to apologize for my attitude and that she was not to blame for what had happened but that the next time she should tell me before doing something like that, without giving her details of the money I had asked for that because she did not have to carry that.

Su papá estaba en Perú en ese momento y el me mandó dinero 💵 para realizarle los nuevos lentes, fuimos de nuevo a escoger las monturas y esta vez si cuido mucho sus lentes.

Nueva cita con el oftalmologo:
El año pasado la llevé directamente a una óptica a sacarle la formula para renovar sus lentes, y pues fue una mala experiencia pues le sacaron la formula que no era, y me dieron unas indicaciones que no eran las mejores para una niña, así que decidí llevarla nuevamente al especialista, efectivamente le habían dado una formula errada, y la Dra. me mandó a hacerle su formula correcta pero en ese momento no tenía la capacidad para realizarle sus nuevos lentes.
New appointment with the ophthalmologist:
Last year I took her directly to an optician to get the formula to renew her glasses, and it was a bad experience because they took the wrong formula, and they gave me some indications that were not the best for a girl, so I decided to take her again to the specialist, indeed they had given her a wrong formula, and the Dr. sent me to make her correct formula but at that time I did not have the capacity to make her new glasses.
Este año decidí llevarla nuevamente para su evaluación y resulta que le aumentó la miopia muchísimo también por el uso prolongado del teléfono.
Recomendaciones de la Dra.:
No estar en las pantallas de teléfonos 📱o tablets por más de 30 minutos consecutivos.
Realizar actividades al aire libre, por lo menos caminar 🚶🏼♀️durante 30 minutos al día para ejercitar la vista.
No ver el teléfono 📱antes de dormir, ya que la hormona del crecimiento se produce en esas horas de sueño 😴, y el ojo 👁️ también crece y eso es lo que hay que tratar de evitar por que es lo que produce la miopia.
Esas son las principales recomendaciones para tratar que la miopia se estabilice y no aumente.
Para mi ha sido un tema bastante delicado, espero que este post les sirva de ayuda a esas madres que están en la misma situación y se sientan identificadas con ellas.
Cuando se trata de la salud de nuestros hijos debemos estar bien atentos a los síntomas y actitudes de ellos para poder abordar con tiempo cualquier problema grave de salud.

Una fortuna es poder contar con una madre que vela por la salud de sus hijos. Las madres de antes no se preocupaban mucho por los jos de sus hijos y es algo a lo que estoy pagando tributo aunque la mayor culpa la tengo yo mismo por descuidar esta parte.
Los lentes le quedan calidad a la niña. Dios la bendiga.

Mi hija mayor usa lentes desde los 9 años, la segunda, tiene en un solo ojo, y la última tiene 0,25 de miopía, así que en la familia la genética prevalece 😬😬😬
