Education starts from home. The parents are the first teacher to their child and I will say the parents are the people who make the society what it is today.
When a child is born, he or she is nurture by the parents for one or two years before the child starts leaving the house to school. Infact from the womb, the parents have greater part to play in the development of the child and when they fail to do it in the womb there still have a chance when the child is born.
The child starts learning from 3 months, anything you do, you will see your little child try to imitate you even to smile and I will say that is the time to start teaching the child.
At 4 months my baby started imitating the father when he prays and raise his hands up after clapping her hands this she does with singing and when I mean singing, she sings seriously using different voice tone, clapping her hands and raising her hands up. At first we just smile about it and as parents we were happy.
This keep happening even when one eats, she does the same thing, when you drink water, she will raise her mouth up to join too and you will have no choice than to give her. When you bite your mouth or play with it, she does the same so we became concious of this fact and knows what to do or say in front of her infact we stop exposing her to people who do any bad habit or say or rough words so she doesn't do same.
We are training her today consciously and very careful about things about her.
Just yesterday, I was in a a public transportation going to the church, she started paying with a lady inside the bus and the lady did one aweward sounds using her mouth, my baby watched her for a while and before I knew it, she joined her in producing the same sound, I was not surprised rather I tried my best to stop her from doing it and even had to tell the lady not to produce such sound again.
You see, when we as parents train our children consciously, we become intentional about what they do and how they react to things.
Most times, some parents do not even have time for the child due to work or one family problem or the other so they let the child be. And in most cases,they have the time but they don't just pay attention to the child and this makes the child to grow up carelessly and become whatever he or she want to become under the parents roof.
Educate your child early, pay attention to them, be intentional about them. Do the work of training consciously and you will see the result will be different from others.
Education from childhood is the key, do it today and give the child the best childhood he or she deserve
