Hello motherhood friends, are you ready to celebrate Mother's Day? Around here we already receive surprises, but the best gift will always be the love of our children. Today I am very happy to tell you about a new adventure I started this week with my children and nephews. It turns out that we signed up for a clay workshop and we already had our first class.
This workshop was aimed at children from 4 to 12 years of age, however, they accepted that the representatives also participate and I thought that was great. Every Wednesday of this month, the children and I will have an appointment to learn how to handle the clay and give it the shape we want.
Hola amigos de motherhood, ¿ya están listos para celebrar el Día de la Madre? Por aquí ya recibimos sorpresas, pero el mejor regalo siempre será el amor de nuestros hijos. Hoy estoy muy feliz de contarles una nueva aventura que inicié esta semana en compañía de mis hijos y mis sobrinos. Resulta que nos inscribimos en un taller de arcilla y ya tuvimos nuestra primera clase.
Este taller, estaba dirigido a niños desde los 04 a los 12 años de edad, sin embargo, aceptaron que los representantes también participaran y eso me pareció genial. Todos los miércoles de este mes, los niños y yo tendremos una cita para aprender a manejar la arcilla y darle la forma que queramos.
For children, this is an excellent opportunity, not only to stimulate their creativity, but also to work on their hand motor skills. An excellent exercise while they let their imagination fly.
I believe that we should stimulate children and teach them the different ways in which art is presented, let them be curious and allow them to choose or discover for themselves what they enjoy the most.
My son's paternal family works with wood and clay, they are excellent artisans, maybe they carry some of this talent in their genes and they will not only be satisfied with what they will learn in this workshop, but they will continue to put it into practice. For now it's time to get your hands dirty and have fun while learning together this wonderful art.
Para los niños, esta es una oportunidad excelente, no solo para estimular su creatividad, sino también para trabajar la motricidad en sus manos. Un ejercicio excelente mientras dejan volar su imaginación.
Considero, que debemos estimular a los niños y enseñarles las distintas formas en las que se presenta el arte, dejar en ellos la curiosidad y permitir que ellos elijan o descubran por sí mismos, que disfrutan más.
La familia paterna de mi hijo trabaja la madera y también la arcilla, son excelentes artesanos, tal vez, ellos lleven algo de este talento en sus genes y no solo se conformen con lo que aprenderán en este taller, sino que lo sigan poniendo en práctica. Por los momentos es hora de ensuciarse las manos y divertirse mientras aprendemos juntos este maravilloso arte.
Angel is very happy and hopes to be able to make a dinosaur, which is what he likes the most. He really enjoyed his class, paid attention and followed the teacher's instructions. My nephews and nieces also took advantage of the class and really enjoyed it.
The teacher began by talking about this versatile and moldable material. She gave us a ball of clay, and our first task would be to make a heart chest. It's quite simple, but the kids found it a bit difficult at first because the clay was hard and a bit of force had to be applied.
Angel está muy contento y espera poder realizar un dinosaurio, que es lo que a él más le gusta. Disfrutó mucho su clase, prestó atención y siguió las instrucciones de la profesora. Mis sobrinos, también aprovecharon mucho la clase y realmente la disfrutaron.
La profesora comenzó hablando sobre este material tan versátil y moldeable. Nos dio una bola de arcilla, y nuestra primera tarea sería hacer un cofre de corazón. Es bastante sencillo, pero a los niños les costó un poco al principio porque la arcilla estaba dura y se tenía que aplicar un poco de fuerza.
Little by little, they felt more comfortable and began to shape it. Nothing comes out perfect the first time, it takes practice and consistency to improve the technique, but the kids did an amazing job, making their clay chests.
They can't wait to go back and see what they look like after they dry. They want to add color and store candy in their little boxes.
At first I hesitated to enroll the child in this workshop, because of the type of material they use and his allergy problem in his eyes, so I took all precautions to prevent him from bringing his hands to his face and it didn't affect him, thank God. I didn't want to miss this opportunity, as it is an experience that will leave them with a lot of learning, skills and a wonderful memory.
Poco a poco, se sintieron más cómodos y comenzaron a darle forma. Nada sale perfecto la primera vez, se requiere práctica y constancia para mejorar la técnica, pero los niños hicieron un trabajo increíble, haciendo sus cofres de arcilla.
Están ansiosos por volver y ver cómo quedaron después de secarse. Quieren darle color y guardar caramelos en sus cajitas.
Al principio dudé en inscribir al niño en este taller, por el tipo de material que usan y su problema de alergia en sus ojos, así que tomé todas las precauciones para evitar que llevase sus manos al rostro y no le afectó, gracias a Dios. No quería dejar pasar esta oportunidad, ya que es una experiencia que les dejará muchos aprendizajes, destrezas y un maravilloso recuerdo.
