Les cuento que el pasado viernes 2 de febrero se realizó en el colegio de mi hijo mayor el cierre de las Costumbres y Tradiciones Navideñas, esta última actividad llevaba por nombre "La Paradura del Niño" la cual trata de revivir ese momento en el que el niño Jesús es robado.
I tell you that last Friday, February 2, my oldest son's school held the closing of the Christmas Customs and Traditions, this last activity was called "La Paradura del Niño" which tries to relive the moment when the baby Jesus is stolen.
Los niños del Colegio se encargaron de darle vida a cada uno de los personajes: María, José, los reyes magos, los policías y por supuesto las chismosas del pueblo. Mi hijo fué uno de los tres reyes magos y junto a sus amigos y compañeros de clase realizaron una bonita actividad por los alrededores del colegio, de casa en casa para hallar al niño perdido.
The school children were in charge of bringing to life each of the characters: Mary, Joseph, the wise men, the policemen and of course the town gossips. My son was one of the three wise men and together with his friends and classmates they did a beautiful activity around the school, going from house to house to find the lost child.

Y por supuesto allí estábamos los representantes apoyando a nuestros hijos en esta actividad, emocionados y felices al ver sus avances porque aunque solo sea una actividad cultural sabemos el trabajo y el esfuerzo que ponen los docentes junto con los niños para que estas actividades salgan lo mejor posible y dar un buen espectáculo.
And of course the representatives were there supporting our children in this activity, excited and happy to see their progress because even though it is only a cultural activity we know the work and effort that the teachers put together with the children so that these activities go as well as possible and give a good show.
Y como les comenté al principio la actividad se trata de hallar al niño perdido por lo que una vez que se dio inicio a la actividad salimos en procesión de casa en casa para preguntar si tenían allí al niño perdido. En cada casa los niños hacían sus cantos, la procesión duró aproximadamente una hora hasta que por fin en una de las casas que visitamos estaba el niño Jesús.
And as I mentioned at the beginning, the activity is about finding the lost child, so once the activity began we went in procession from house to house to ask if they had the lost child there. In each house the children did their songs, the procession lasted about an hour until finally in one of the houses we visited there was the baby Jesus.
Allí se armó la parranda y entre risas y cantos navideños adoramos al niño. La actividad estuvo cargada de mucha alegría, a mi en lo particular me encantan este tipo de actividades culturales donde nuestros niños pueden demostrar sus habilidades, pierden el miedo escénico y aprenden un poco más acerca de las tradiciones culturales de nuestro pueblo.
There the parranda broke out and amidst laughter and Christmas songs we worshipped the child. The activity was full of joy, I particularly love this type of cultural activities where our children can demonstrate their skills, lose their stage fright and learn a little more about the cultural traditions of our people.
