Hola mamis y papis de #motherhood, Reciban un fuerte abrazo y muchas bendiciones. A propósito de celebrarse el próximo 2 de abril el Dia Internacional de Concientización del Autismo me pareció una excelente oportunidad para hablarles de mi pequeño prÃncipe azul, el cual llego llegó para llenar mis dÃas de alegrÃa y emoción.
Hello #motherhood moms and dads, Receive a big hug and many blessings. As the International Autism Awareness Day will be celebrated on April 2nd, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to tell you about my little prince charming, who arrived to fill my days with joy and excitement.
Mi hijo hoy en dÃa tiene 10 años de edad y han sÃdo tantas las experiencias que hemos vivido juntos, los aprendizajes que mi pequeño hijo nos ha dado a toda nuestra familia que en ocasiones pienso que podrÃa escribir un libro con todas nuestras vivencias. Mi hijo es un guerrero pues a pesar de todas las jornadas médicas, tratamientos y terapias siempre tenido una sonrisa que mostrar.
My son is now 10 years old and there have been so many experiences that we have lived together, the learning that my little son has given to our whole family that sometimes I think I could write a book with all our experiences. My son is a warrior because despite all the medical journeys, treatments and therapies he has always had a smile to show.
De su mano he recibido la lección de vida más importante que pudiera recibir, su inocencia y sus ganas de superación son lo más bello que la vida me ha regalado. Si diagnóstico llegó a las 2 años de edad y desde entonces no nos hemos rendido, comenzamos nuestra lucha y sabemos que está nunca terminará porque siempre estaremos a su lado haciendo todo lo posible por brindarle una mejor calidad de vida .
From her hand I have received the most important life lesson that I could receive, her innocence and her desire to overcome are the most beautiful things that life has given me. If diagnosis came at 2 years of age and since then we have not given up, we started our fight and we know that it will never end because we will always be by his side doing everything possible to provide him a better quality of life.
Obviamente no ha sÃdo facil, el alto costo de las consultas médicas, evaluaciones, tratamientos y terapias en ocasiones nos ponen contra la pared y nos obligan a bajar el ritmo buscar otras alternativas. Lamentablemente en el sector público n pocas las instituciones que brindan un servicio de calidad para niños con esta condición de vida.
Obviamente no ha sÃdo facil, el alto costo de las consultas médicas, evaluaciones, tratamientos y terapias en ocasiones nos ponen contra la pared y nos obligan a bajar el ritmo buscar otras alternativas. Lamentablemente en el sector público n pocas las instituciones que brindan un servicio de calidad para niños con esta condición de vida.
Aún asà rendirse no es una opción, poco a poco hemos podido costear los tratamientos más importantes para mà hijo. En nuestro paÃs Venezuela la situación económica también ha golpeado fuerte a las familias con personas bajo está condición pero hemos salido adelante con ayuda de Dios y con la fortaleza que nuestros hijos nos brindan.
Even so, giving up is not an option, little by little we have been able to afford the most important treatments for my son. In our country, Venezuela, the economic situation has also hit families with people with this condition hard, but we have been able to move forward with God's help and with the strength that our children give us.
Hoy en dÃa mi hijo asiste a una escuela especial pública, dónde considero que el trato ha sÃdo excelente, las maestras muestran tener la sensibilidad necesaria para darles un trato adecuado y me siento feliz de que mi niño se encuentre ya escolarizado y recibiendo la atención que merece.
Today my son attends a public special school, where I consider that the treatment has been excellent, the teachers show the necessary sensitivity to treat them properly and I am happy that my child is already in school and receiving the attention he deserves.
Allà también cuentan con un centro de atención especial para niños con autismo, asà que los niños reciben sus terapias cada cierto tiempo. Fue realmente difÃcil la inclusión de mi hijo en este colegio y su proceso de adaptación fue lento pero en estos momentos asiste en horario de 8am a 12p y su comportamiento dentro del aula de clases ha mejorado muchÃsimo.
There they also have a special attention center for children with autism, so the children receive their therapies from time to time. It was really difficult to include my son in this school and his adaptation process was slow but now he attends from 8am to 12pm and his behavior in the classroom has improved a lot.
Mientras tanto en casa seguimos trabajando y ayudándolo a mejorar cada dÃa. Este es un trabajo de hormigas dónde cada avance por pequeño que parezca es importante y debe ser reconocido. Desde que el autismo toco a nuestra puerta supimos que no iba a ser fácil, hemos pasado por momentos muy dificiles pero el amor por nuestro hijo lo ha podido todo.
Meanwhile at home we continue working and helping him to improve every day. This is a work of ants where each advance, no matter how small it may seem, is important and must be recognized. Since autism knocked on our door we knew it was not going to be easy, we have gone through very difficult moments but the love for our son has conquered everything.
Mi recomendación para aquellos padres cuyos hijos han recibido recientemente el diagnóstico de autismo es que no desesperen y que luchen cada dia para ayudarlos a superar sus limitaciones. No será nada fácil pero nuestros pequeños merecen todo nuestro esfuerzo para brindarles todo lo mejor en cuanto a evaluaciones médicas y terapias se refiere.
My recommendation to those parents whose children have recently been diagnosed with autism is not to despair and to fight every day to help them overcome their limitations. It will not be easy but our little ones deserve all our efforts to provide them with the best in terms of medical evaluations and therapies.
Cómo padres somos los primeros que apostamos por nuestros hijos, vemos en ellos todo el potencial que quizás otros no ven y por ello depende de nosotros ayudarlos y motivarlos cada dÃa. En el autismo el trabajo debe ser constante y sin pausas, asà mismo las rutinas son importantes por eso debemos tener una buena planificación y realizar un trabajo organizado para proveer a nuestros hijos un entorno sano y seguro.
As parents we are the first ones who bet on our children, we see in them all the potential that perhaps others do not see and therefore it is up to us to help and motivate them every day. In autism the work must be constant and without pauses, likewise routines are important so we must have a good planning and perform an organized work to provide our children a healthy and safe environment.

You are indeed a strong Mother whose love towards her beloved son transcends all things. Your sacrifice and patience to learn and understand your son better is so amazing. Journeying with him is important to show him that he is not alone; that he has people who love and care for him always, and I am glad that he is getting special attention.
