Quince años. / Fifteen years
Celebrar la vida es algo con lo que estoy totalmente de acuerdo, cada cumpleaños es propicio para agradecer por estar cumpliendo un año más; hablar de celebración no necesariamente tiene que ser una gran fiesta con una orquesta y muchas personas. Hay muchas maneras de hacerlo, lo importante es sentirse feliz y compartir con quien deseas estar, además si pueden que no falte la torta y una vela para soplar.
Hay una edad muy especial en la vida de la mujer, se trata de cuando llega el día de cumplir 15 años de edad. Es una costumbre, por lo menos en mi país, considerar ese día diferente y bonito; por años se ha visto como hay familias que con mucho tiempo de anticipación se dedican a preparar la celebración para su hija cuando sea una quinceañera. Los tipos de fiesta son muchos, están las de gala y etiqueta, con tarjeta de invitación y salones grandes.
Están también otras menos pomposas, más intimas y en la casa, todo de acuerdo al bolsillo de los padres. Han pasado los años y muchas niñas hoy ya no quieren esa fiesta, sino algún viaje o un regalo especial; algunas hasta prefieren el dinero. Es común ahora también reuniones solo con jóvenes de su edad y sin los papás; dejando atrás aquel típico vestido de princesa y el baile con su papá.
Llego mi turno y mi primera hija cumplió sus 15 años, sí, confirmo que se siente una emoción indescriptible; mi pequeña niña creciendo y aunque ella nunca soñó con fiesta de princesa, si me manifestó lo que quería y pregunto si yo podía hacerlo. Solo una torta y que invitaría a cuatro amigas sin papás, aquí en la casa, de resto que no gastara en más nada y le diera el dinero.
Bueno, me dediqué unos meses antes planificando todo lo que quería hacerle, pensando es sus gustos y respetando lo que ella dijo. Me enfoqué en lo que le gusta que es el chocolate, imagine una mesa pequeña con distintos dulces de ese sabor y por supuesto una torta de chocolate. Nada le contaba, iba comprando las cosas y busqué bastantes modelos de decoración de torta hasta que di con la imaginada, el siguiente paso era encontrar una persona que me entendiera y pudiera hacerla como la quería.
Celebrating life is something I totally agree with, every birthday is propitious to be thankful to be celebrating another year; talking about celebration does not necessarily have to be a big party with an orchestra and many people. There are many ways to do it, the important thing is to feel happy and share with whom you want to be, also if you can, don't miss the cake and a candle to blow.
There is a very special age in a woman's life, it is when she turns 15 years old. It is a custom, at least in my country, to consider that day different and beautiful; for years it has been seen how there are families that with much time in advance are dedicated to prepare the celebration for their daughter when she is a quinceañera. There are many types of parties, there are those of gala and etiquette, with invitation cards and large rooms.
There are also others less pompous, more intimate and at home, all according to the parents' pocket. The years have gone by and many girls today no longer want that party, but a trip or a special gift; some even prefer money. It is also common nowadays to meet only with young people of their age and without their parents; leaving behind that typical princess dress and the dance with their dad.
My turn came, and my first daughter celebrated her 15th birthday, yes, I confirm that it feels an indescribable emotion; my little girl growing up, and although she never dreamed of a princess party, she did tell me what she wanted and asked if I could do it. Just a cake and that she would invite four friends without parents, here at home, otherwise I would not spend on anything else and would give her the money.
Well, I spent a few months before planning everything I wanted to do to her, thinking about her tastes and respecting what she said. I focused on what she likes which is chocolate, I imagined a small table with different sweets of that flavor and of course a chocolate cake. Nothing I told her, I was buying things and I looked at many models of cake decorations until I found the one I imagined, the next step was to find a person who understood me and could make it as I wanted it.
La conseguí tal como lo deseaba, y quede satisfecha con el resultado. Una torta sutil, delicada, de chocolate, rellena de chocolate y con flores naturales; además de su nombre con letras seleccionadas, aunque mi Alegría más grande fue ver la cara de mi hija cuando la vio, no lo podía creer y la amo a primera vista, el sabor exquisito.
I got it just as I wished, and I was satisfied with the result. A subtle, delicate, chocolate cake, filled with chocolate and with natural flowers; besides her name with selected letters, although my greatest joy was to see my daughter's face when she saw it, she could not believe it and she loved it at first sight, the exquisite flavor.
Así, en una tarde llena de alegría en la intimidad de nuestro hogar, con sus amigas, su papá, hermanita y yo, mi princesa Victoria soplo la vela de su cumpleaños 15 y bailo el vals con su papá.
So, in an afternoon full of joy in the intimacy of our home, with her friends, her daddy, little sister and me, my princess Victoria blew out her 15th birthday candle and waltzed with her daddy.
