Community Guidelines for Curation!
Hello Hivers! The motherhood community is over a year old now and he have come a LONG way since we started, while I write this post, we have over 1347 members and have a lot of curators backing the good content created in our community.
We are always looking to improve and help our members be better, we are now regularly imparting lessons that go from how Hive works to how to make better posts, all this to help our community grow into a quality content reference in Hive.
I decided to create a guideline post to help all the old and new members of our community understand how our curation works inside our community. To start I want to thank all our amazing members who make such beautiful and quality content everyday and make our community look so pretty!
¡Hola Hivers! Motherhood tiene más de un año y ha recorrido un largo camino desde que comenzamos, mientras escribo este post, tenemos ya más de 1347 miembros y muchos curadores respaldan el buen contenido creado en nuestra comunidad.
Siempre estamos buscando mejorar y ayudar a nuestros miembros, impartimos clases que van desde cómo funciona Hive hasta cómo hacer mejores posts, para ayudar a nuestra comunidad a ser una referencia de contenido de calidad en Hive.
Cree este post guía para ayudar a todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad a comprender cómo funciona nuestra curación. Para empezar, quiero agradecer a todos nuestros increíbles miembros que crean contenido tan hermoso y de calidad todos los días y hacen que nuestra comunidad se vea tan bonita.

How to create a good post in the Motherhood Community
(and in Hive in general)
Cómo crear un post de calidad en Motherhood
y en Hive en general
Writing a good post requires hard work and dedication. However, your posts do not have to be amazingly good in order to get noticed, they only need to be decent and meet our minimum requirements.
1 - Original Content:
This goes without saying that plagiarism will not be tolerated in any way or form, (this also includes copy/paste and recycling old content) you don’t need to do much research to make a good original post on Motherhood, you only need to share a little bit about your own experience as a parent or about having a parent.
2 - Sourcing and copywrite:
Along with the original content, you need to cite and source the content that isn’t yours, be mindful of the authors right and permissions needed to use the content, for example when using images inside your post, it doesn't matter if you source them if the image has a water mark or is stablish as not be of free use, DO NOT USE it.
3 - Clear Language:
To begin always write in a language you are comfortable with. We do suggest you use English along with your native language to help curators understand your content and to attract a larger audience but, keep in mind that translators are not magicians if you write wrong in your own language a word the translator will make the translation wrong as well, so we suggest you spell check your content before and after using a translator like google or deepl, we also suggest the use of Grammarly an awesome app to check your grammar and spelling here is a tutorial on how to use it -> English spelling tool - Tutorial
Escribir un buen post requiere trabajo y dedicación. Sin embargo, sus posts no tienen que ser exageradamente buenas para llamar la atención, solo deben cumplir con nuestros requisitos mínimos.
1 - Contenido original:
No hace falta decir que el plagio no será tolerado de ninguna manera o forma (esto incluye copiar / pegar y reciclar contenido antiguo) no necesitas investigar mucho para hacer una buena publicación original sobre tu maternidad/paternidad, solo necesitas escribir de tu propia experiencia como padre o hijo.
2 - Fuentes y Copywrite:
Junto con el contenido original, debe citar y colocar la fuente del contenido que no es suyo, tenga en cuenta los derechos de los autores y los permisos necesarios para usar el contenido, por ejemplo, cuando use imágenes, si la imagen tiene una marca de agua o está establecido que no es de uso gratuito, NO LA USE.
3 - Lenguaje claro:
Escriba siempre en un idioma con el que se sienta cómodo. Le sugerimos que use el inglés junto con su idioma nativo para ayudar a los curadores a comprender su contenido y atraer a una audiencia más amplia, pero tenga en cuenta que los traductores no son magos si escribe mal en su propio idioma una palabra el traductor hará que la traducción sea incorrecta también, le sugerimos que revise la ortografía antes y después de usar un traductor , también sugerimos el uso de Grammarly, aquí hay un tutorial sobre cómo usarlo -> Grammarly, tu asistente para escribir
4 - Formatting:
Here is the thing, not only a well-formatted article would be easier to read, but could increase your SEO (search engine optimization) so it can help get your content more views and reach a bigger audience. It doesn't need to be super fancy and complex, in fact sometimes less is better, we just need it to be presentable and easier to read. Also, you should know that formatting includes your title and cover image not only the body of your post.
Title: your title should be descriptive but not a description, a title ideally should be short and not 3 lines long, we also would like to ask you to stick to a single language when writing your title, this will help your SEO and will make it look better.
Please don’t use in the title the name of the challenge or the week or day of the challenge you are making, this is not a requirement to be part of them, it just makes your title longer and is not needed.Cover image: Now with this you can get creative but keep in mind it should make sense and have relation to the content of the post and make sure the size isn’t too big for your post, a good size for a cover image is 500x500, also
please don’t use the same cover images of the challenges done by the community we want originality and creativity not for all posts to look the same.The body of your post: this should be obvious, you need to make it easier to read for your audience. If you are making a post with several languages in it, make sure you identify, divide or just make easier to know where to continue to read after each paragraph, you can do this with the help of the citation command
>or doing a two part post (top part one langue/down the other) or if you like you can use the double column like this post. Also make sure the size of your images are not too huge or are correctly align with the text.

4 - Formateo:
Un artículo bien formateado no solo sería más fácil de leer, sino que podría aumentar su SEO (optimización de motores de búsqueda) para que pueda obtener más vistas y llegar a una audiencia más grande. No es necesario que sea muy elegante y complejo, de hecho, a veces, menos es más, solo debe ser presentable y más fácil de leer. Además, debes saber que el formato incluye el título y la imagen de portada, no solo el cuerpo de tu post.
Título: su título debe ser descriptivo pero no una descripción, un título idealmente debe ser corto y no de 3 líneas de largo, también nos gustaría pedirle que se ciña a un solo idioma al escribir su título, esto ayudará tu SEO y hará que se vea mejor.
Por favor, no uses en el título el nombre del desafío o la semana o día del desafío que estás realizando, esto no es un requisito para ser parte de ellos, solo alarga tu título y hace que tu titulo pierda sentido.Imagen de portada: ten en cuenta que debe tener sentido y tener relación con el contenido del post y el tamaño no sea demasiado grande para tu post, un buen tamaño para una imagen de portada es de 500x500,
no utilices las mismas imágenes de portada de los desafíos realizados por la comunidad, queremos originalidad y creatividad, no que todas las publicaciones se vean iguales.El cuerpo de tu post: Necesitas que sea de fácil lectura para tu audiencia. Si está haciendo un post con varios idiomas, asegurate de identificar, dividir o ayudar a saber dónde continuar leyendo después de cada párrafo, puede hacerlo con el comando de citas
>o haciendo un post de dos partes (parte superior un idioma / abajo el otro) o si lo desea, puede usar la doble columna. También asegúrese de que el tamaño de sus imágenes no sea demasiado grande o que esten alineadas correctamente.

Meeting the basic requirements will help you get noticed by the community curators. But keep in mind, that creativity and engagement will be more highly rewarded.
Cumplir con los requisitos básicos le ayudará a hacerse notar. Pero tenga en cuenta que la creatividad y el hacer comunidad serán más recompensados.

This doesn’t mean you will be voted, but if you don’t then for sure you won’t be voted on by our own curators.

- Creativity
Creatividad
We are looking for improvement in the content made in our community and you don’t need to make it too fancy to show your creativity, but be original and that will get you a long way.
Buscamos mejorar el contenido creado en nuestra comunidad y no es necesario que lo haga demasiado elegante para mostrar su creatividad, pero sea original y eso lo llevará muy lejos.
- Engagement

Now this part is super important for us, we want to increase the engagement in our community, we know mostly of the people who post in it are busy parents, but reading other members posts or just replaying to the comments left on your own posts will make you stand out amount the huge amount of amazing content made in our community daily. (this will also help you gain tips from our mods!).
Esta parte es muy importante, queremos aumentar la interacción en nuestra comunidad, sabemos que la mayoría son padres ocupados, pero leer los posts de otros o responder los comentarios dejados en sus propios post ayudaran a destacar entre la gran cantidad de contenido increíble que se crea en nuestra comunidad a diario. (¡esto también te ayudará a obtener propinas de nuestros mods!).
- Not begging for votes,
No pedir votos
This should be self-explanatory but, users who ask for votes, or bother any of our mods through any private chats asking for votes will be instantly ban from getting voted on that week. We read all the posts made in our community and we try to make sure all the quality content made in it is rewarded but since the number of users keeps growing and the quality of the content keeps increasing, we not always will be able to vote all, this doesn't mean you are forgotten but if you really want to catch our eyes to get voted on apply creativity to your post don’t do it by asking through dms to our mods to voted it.
Debería explicarse solo, pero los usuarios que soliciten votos a cualquiera de nuestros mods a través de chats privados, no serán votados esa semana. Leemos todos los posts en nuestra comunidad e intentamos que todo el contenido de calidad sea recompensado, pero dado que el número de usuarios sigue creciendo y la calidad del contenido sigue aumentando, no siempre podremos votar a todos. Esto no significa que te hayan olvidado, pero si realmente quieres llamar nuestra atención para que te votemos, aplica creatividad a tu publicación, no lo hagas pidiendo a través de dms a nuestros mods que te voten.

Una de las cosas que siempre me han recomendado es que lea las reglas de las comunidades antes de publicar, me alegra conocer las de esta comunidad, no soy nueva publicando aquí,pero sí estuve retirada por un tiempo, y quiero volver a publicar aquí mis experiencias como mamá, leer las de otros padres y así, que haya una retroalimentación y apoyarnos entre todos.
