Hello, I hope you are well 🙂 For those who don't know, I work in a nursery and today the topic was very important. On April 25th in Portugal we celebrate freedom day. This day is so important that here in Portugal it is a public holiday. So I'm going to talk a little and show an activity I did with them today because we didn't win on Thursday and the children didn't go to school.
So we all sat on a rose on the carpet in our living room and I started asking the question if anyone knew why we didn't go to school on Thursday, one of the children answered correctly and I was super happy, she said that her grandmother had explained it 😊 They They were all so curious that they made me quite happy. I explained that it is called freedom day because it was the day that gave us the freedom to do and say what we want.
I tried to explain it in a very simple way so that they understand me 🙂 I said that in the past we couldn't choose who governed us and we couldn't say what we thought. The boys had an all-boys school and the girls an all-girls school, you couldn't imagine. Then they were very surprised and immediately said that it wasn't fair. What they love most is being together to do work and play.
And he said but one day a lot of excited people got together because they wanted to change that. They organized a revolution, which was called the carnation revolution, which is why the carnation is the symbol of this day. That day many people took red carnations and the soldiers there placed a carnation on the tip of their weapons, symbolizing that they didn't want any more fights and wanted peace (I showed their photos on the internet) so they could see. They were very surprised and asked a lot of questions 😊
And thanks to those warm people, we managed to win our peace and our freedom, which is the most important thing we have ❤️ we can choose who governs our country, because in the past women couldn't vote and we can say what we think without fear because before If we spoke soon we would be arrested and we can live in peace.
After explaining it to them and they asking all the questions, I decide to do some work with them. I printed a carnation and they painted the stem and leaves green, then cut red paper into pieces and glued them around the carnation as if they were expected.
The work was simple, but the most important thing was that they understood the topic. Each child took their work home and today their homework was to explain to their parents a little about this important day. Many parents have already sent me messages of thanks for all the work and dedication to their children, but they don't have to thank me. I do my work with pleasure and I love what I do ❤️

Olá, espero que você esteja bem 🙂 Para quem não sabe, trabalho em uma creche e hoje o tema foi muito importante. No dia 25 de Abril em Portugal celebramos o dia da liberdade. Este dia é tão importante que aqui em Portugal é feriado. Então vou conversar um pouco e mostrar uma atividade que fiz com eles hoje porque não ganhamos na quinta e as crianças não foram à escola.
Então todos nós sentamos em uma rosa no tapete da nossa sala e eu comecei a fazer a pergunta se alguém sabia porque não fomos para a escola na quinta, uma das crianças respondeu corretamente e eu fiquei super feliz, ela disse que ela a avó tinha explicado 😊 Eles ficaram todos tão curiosos que me deixaram bastante feliz. Expliquei que se chama dia da liberdade porque foi o dia que nos deu a liberdade de fazer e dizer o que quisermos.
Tentei explicar de uma forma bem simples para que me entendessem 🙂 Disse que antigamente não podíamos escolher quem nos governava e não podíamos dizer o que pensávamos. Os meninos tinham uma escola só para meninos e as meninas uma escola só para meninas, você não poderia imaginar. Então eles ficaram muito surpresos e imediatamente disseram que não era justo. O que eles mais amam é estar juntos para trabalhar e se divertir.
E ele disse que um dia muitas pessoas entusiasmadas se reuniram porque queriam mudar isso. Organizaram uma revolução, que foi chamada de revolução dos cravos, por isso o cravo é o símbolo deste dia. Naquele dia muitas pessoas pegaram cravos vermelhos e os soldados ali colocaram um cravo na ponta das armas, simbolizando que não queriam mais brigas e queriam a paz (mostrei as fotos deles na internet) para que pudessem ver. Eles ficaram muito surpresos e fizeram muitas perguntas 😊
E graças a essas pessoas calorosas, conseguimos conquistar a nossa paz e a nossa liberdade, que é a coisa mais importante que temos ❤️ podemos escolher quem governa o nosso país, porque no passado as mulheres não podiam votar e podemos dizer o que pensamos sem medo porque antes se falássemos logo seríamos presos e poderemos viver em paz.
Depois de explicar a eles e eles fazerem todas as perguntas, decido fazer um trabalho com eles. Imprimi um cravo e eles pintaram o caule e as folhas de verde, depois cortaram o papel vermelho em pedaços e colaram em volta do cravo como se fossem esperados.
O trabalho foi simples, mas o mais importante foi que eles entenderam o assunto. Cada criança levou seu trabalho para casa e hoje o dever de casa foi explicar um pouco para os pais sobre esse dia tão importante. Muitos pais já me enviaram mensagens de agradecimento por todo o trabalho e dedicação aos filhos, mas não precisam me agradecer. Faço meu trabalho com prazer e amo o que faço ❤️
