Attending representative meetings is a responsibility that should not be delegated, much less postponed, although many of these meetings deal with matters that do not directly involve us in relation to our children, that does not make them less important, and in this particular case my daughter is in a new stage and at a new school. Of course, there will be cases where a father or mother cannot attend, but someone in the family must participate.
Attending these types of meetings is essential. I even left my university work early to be on time. Fortunately, there wasn't a long wait; they held it with everyone present. I thought it would be a meeting just for my daughter's study group, but it was with the representatives from grades 1-5, so it was in the field area.
The principal, or rather the owner of the school, is a person who lacks empathy and is quite conceited. However, he also knows the educational system and is quite prepared, so we have to deal with him.
He developed the points on his agenda mainly around the issue of discipline and complying with school rules. This applies even more to the representatives, because if the students wear the wrong uniform, it's the parents' responsibility.
Overall, it was an informative meeting that, in my case, gave me an idea of how things are handled at the school, or in more detail, because I don't know how things work beyond what they report in the WhatsApp groups.
A new meeting will be called soon to hold the first meeting of representatives, but only with my daughter's study group. In it, they will share information about the first report card cutoff before the end of the term. This allows us to review how they are doing, if they are really performing well and behaving well.
I have always participated in school meetings since preschool to find out how things are going with my daughter. This is a different level. In the case of high school, I still have to keep an eye on how she is doing in school, if she is fulfilling her duties beyond the activities she does at home.
So far, I have I've noticed that my daughter has adapted to all these changes. She always shares with us, her parents, her experiences at school, her tastes, whether the teachers are kind, whether the other kids are behaving well, always with endless stories. Hehe, but she makes us part of every stage of her life.

This time, I preferred to just listen until I understand the system better and can express my concerns. The important thing is that the school offers a good educational service so that my daughter receives a good academic education, that it truly teaches her, that it guides her, that it cares for them holistically, so that in some way we feel more at ease as parents. These meetings are always necessary, to see how things are going with our children, and to correct whatever needs to be corrected as they progress.

Asistir a las reuniones de representantes es una responsabilidad que no se debe delegar, menos posponer, aunque en muchos de estos encuentros se traten asuntos que no nos involucren directamente en cuanto a nuestros hijos, eso no las hace menos importantes, y en éste particular mi hija está en una nueva etapa y nuevo colegio. Por supuesto habrá casos de casos donde el papá o mamá no puedan asistir, pero alguien de la familia debe participar.
Acudir a este tipo de reuniones es fundamental, incluso salí antes de la hora de mi trabajo en la universidad para poder llegar a tiempo, afortunadamente no hubo que esperar mucho, la hicieron con los presentes. Pensé que sería una reunión solo con el grupo de estudios de mi hija pero era con los representantes de 1 ro a 5to año, así que fue en el área de la cancha.
El director o más bien el dueño del colegio es una persona que carece de empatía, es bastante engreído, pero también conoce del sistema educativo, está bastante preparado, así que toca lidiar con él.
Desarrolló los puntos de su agenda más que todo por el tema de la disciplina, de cumplir con las normas del colegio, eso aplica más a los representantes, porque si los estudiantes van con el uniforme que no es, es responsabilidad de los padres.
En general fue una reunión informativa que en mi caso me pone en situación de como se manejan las cosas en el colegio o con más detalles, porque desconozco su funcionamiento más allá de lo que informan por los grupos de WhatsApp.
Pronto se convocará a una nueva reunión para hacer el primer encuentro de representantes pero solo con el grupo de estudios de mi niña. En ella compartirán información del primer corte de notas antes de que termine el lapso, eso nos permite revisar como van, si realmente tienen un buen desempeño y comportamiento.
Siempre he participado en las reuniones escolares desde el pre escolar para saber cómo van las cosas con mi hija, éste es otro nivel, en el caso de la secundaria, aún así debo estar pendiente de como va en el colegio, si está cumpliendo con sus deberes más allá de las actividades que hace en la casa.
Hasta el momento he notado que mi hija se ha sabido adaptar a todos estos cambios, ella siempre comparte con nosotros sus papás sus experiencias en el colegio, sus gustos, si los profesores son amables, si el resto de los chicos se portan bien, siempre con cuentos interminables, Jejeje, pero que nos hace parte de cada etapa de su vida.
Me pareció una reunión interesante, con sus observaciones que en su momento las haré saber, en ésta oportunidad preferí solo escuchar hasta que entienda más el sistema y pueda hacer saber mis inquietudes. Lo importante es que el colegio ofrezca un buen servicio educativo para que mi hija reciba una buena formación a nivel académico, que realmente la enseñe, que oriente, que los atienda de manera integral, así de alguna manera estamos más tranquilos como padres. Estás reuniones siempre hacen falta, para ver como van las cosas con nuestros hijos, y corregir lo que se tenga que corregir a medida que van avanzando.
