It's very funny the things about having a newborn baby that most people don't know about. Babies are always cute when we see them but having one of your own is a whole different ball game. In this article, I would be listing the things I didn't know about Motherhood
Every mother has to trade her sleep for her baby no matter how tired she is.
Babies want to be held all the time (so putting them down to sleep successfully is a skill that every young mother should have)
Breastfeeding makes the mother hungry and thirsty every time (especially those night feeds) and she would smell like breast milk all day especially if the baby hasn't sucked enough.
The Mother's flat stomach will turn to a pouch and her nipples with hurt sometimes, especially if the baby has been sleeping and hasn't sucked enough.
Newborns eat every 2 hours (mine eats every hour) some nights the baby cries all night because of factors usually unknown to the mother causing a lot of sleep deprivation
If not love someone has so much for her baby there would be times when the mother feels like running away from the baby. But love for our kids is usually what makes every mother take care of their kids till they grow up and won't mind going through the same process several times.
first babies can be very stressful to take care of because everything feels so new and it needs some period of adaptation before a mother is sure that she knows what she is doing I think that's why women need to take maternity leaves.
The joy of motherhood is enjoyed when kids are grown up and then reminiscing about the beautiful moments of their childhood is so magical. Reproduction is indeed a beautiful thing.
