La Navidad es una de las épocas más bonitas del año, la que muchos esperamos y sobretodo la que disfrutamos en familia. Algo muy característico de ésta época es precisamente la decoración, muñecos de nieve, árboles, nacimientos, regalos y muchas, muchas luces, brillantes y vicos colores vemos por doquier.
Anteriormente estas decoraciones se realizaban a partir del mes de diciembre, pero desde hace pocos años, desde el mes de noviembre inclusive parte de octubre, en algunos hogares, en centro comerciales, locales empiezan a decorar.
No ha terminado noviembre y en mi ciudad la mayoría de las plazas ya están decoradas. En el colegio de mi hijo ésta semana empezaron a decorar. Y mi amado hijo Caleb, como otros niños se dejan fascinar por la magia que les produce el ambiente navideño a través de las decoraciones.
Viendo éstas decoraciones en la mayoría de las áreas donde se desarrolla, no deja de preguntarme ¿Cuándo va a llegar navidad en nuestra casa?, ya que aún no hemos decorado.
Al escucharlo sentí un poco de culpa al momento, porque mi hijo ya quiere ver la casa llena de adornos, armar y decorar el árbol y sobretodo colocar en este la carta a santa.
Pero tuve que explicarle nuevamente cuál es el significado de la navidad. Hijo recuerda que en navidad celebramos el nacimiento del niño Jesús, es una época que nos invita por encima de cualquier circunstancia a permanecer unidos, en amor, con alegría, donde debemos brindar solidaridad, generosidad a otros. Por tanto la navidad se celebra desde nuestro corazón y lo material es secundario.
También vamos a decorar hijo mío. La decoración en cada casa lo hacen de acuerdo a sus tradiciones. En casa de los abuelitos, se empieza a decorar desde el cinco de diciembre que es mi cumpleaños y yo tomé esa tradición. Pero esta vez vamos a empezar a decorar el primero para ser solidarios con tu espíritu de navidad.
Lo importante Caleb es que cuando se empiece a adornar lo hagamos en unión familiar con mucha alegría, de eso se trata la navidad, de abrazarnos y motivarnos. Si quieres hijo puedes ir haciendo la carta para el niño Jesús que yo te ayudo. Así que quédate tranquilo que la navidad también va a llegar a nuestra casa.
Mi Caleb quedó bastante contento con lo que le expliqué. Esa energía genuina y especial de los niños debemos aprovecharla y sobretodo ayudar a mantenerla a lo largo de su vida. Para que siempre disfrute con mucha alegría e ilusión ésta época tan especial del año.
Parece mentira pero hay niños que siendo tan pequeños no tienen ninguna emoción para esta época que no sea solo el estrenar una ropa o recibir un regalo, e inclusive hasta eso les da igual. Algo muy triste pero cierto. Por eso nosotros como padres y pilares del hogar debemos alimentar el espíritu navideño en nuestros hijos, fomentarle el valor de compartir, de honrar el nacimiento de Jesús y de expresar amor y alegría a sus familiares y amigos. Qué bonito y satisfactorio es saber que a nuestros hijos les gusta dar de corazón un presente o detalle a otros.
Aproveche que la maestra de tareas dirigidas del niño me preguntó si tenía alguna ropa para regalar, que ella cuando va para su pueblo Araya durante las vacaciones decembrinas, lleva ropa a los niños de una comunidad de escasos recursos económicos y saqué lo poco que tiene Caleb que no le queda, porque de por si yo voy regalando lo que él deja de usar.
Ven hijo vamos a arreglar ésta ropita para que la maestra Solange se la lleve a los niños, para que reciban un regalo de tu parte que ellos lo necesitan y se van a alegrar mucho. De eso se trata la navidad de compartir.
Caleb se puso contentísimo y hasta un gorrito de navidad les metió. También me dijo que cuando abriera su alcancía les iba a comprar un regalo.
La navidad para los niños es mágica pues la energía de la alegría y el amor que se siente y transmite la hace así, y los valores son los primeros adornos que debemos mostrarles a nuestros hijos para que vivan la navidad desde su verdadero significado.
Me gustó mucho haber compartido éstas vivencias con mi hijo con Caleb con ustedes. Hacía tiempo que no publicaba en ésta Comunidad pero tomando lo saberes y motivación que podemos conseguir aquí.

November is not over and in my city most of the squares are already decorated. At my son's school this week they started decorating. And my beloved son Caleb, like other children, is fascinated by the magic of the Christmas atmosphere through the decorations.
Seeing these decorations in most of the areas where he grows up, he keeps asking me when Christmas is coming to our house, since we haven't decorated yet.
Listening to him I felt a bit of guilt at the moment, because my son already wants to see the house full of decorations, assemble and decorate the tree and above all place the letter to Santa on it.
But I had to explain to him again what the meaning of Christmas is. Son, remember that at Christmas we celebrate the birth of the child Jesus, it is a time that invites us above all circumstances to remain united, in love, with joy, where we must offer solidarity, generosity to others. Therefore Christmas is celebrated from our heart and the material is secondary.
We are also going to decorate my son. Each house decorates according to their traditions. At grandma and grandpa's house, they start decorating from December 5th, which is my birthday, and I took that tradition. But this time we are going to start decorating on the first to be in solidarity with your Christmas spirit.
The important thing Caleb is that when we start decorating we do it in family unity with a lot of joy, that's what Christmas is all about, to embrace and motivate each other. If you want, son, you can start writing the letter to the baby Jesus and I will help you. So rest assured that Christmas will also come to our house.
My Caleb was quite happy with what I explained to him. We must take advantage of that genuine and special energy of children and above all help to maintain it throughout their lives. So that he always enjoys this special time of the year with a lot of joy and illusion.
It seems unbelievable but there are children who, being so young, do not have any emotion for this time of the year other than just to wear new clothes or receive a gift, and even that does not matter to them. Something very sad but true. That is why we as parents and pillars of the home must nurture the Christmas spirit in our children, encourage them to share, to honor the birth of Jesus and to express love and joy to their family and friends. How nice and satisfying it is to know that our children like to give a gift or detail to others from their hearts.
I took advantage of the fact that the child's homework teacher asked me if I had any clothes to give, because when she goes to her town Araya during the Christmas vacations, she takes clothes to the children of a poor community and I took the little that Caleb has that does not fit, because I give away what he no longer wears.
Come son, let's fix these clothes so that teacher Solange can take them to the children, so that they can receive a gift from you, they need it and they will be very happy. That's what Christmas is all about, sharing.
Caleb was very happy and even gave them a Christmas hat. He also told me that when he opened his piggy bank he was going to buy them a present.
Christmas for children is magical because the energy of joy and love that is felt and transmitted makes it so, and the values are the first ornaments that we must show our children to live Christmas from its true meaning.
I really enjoyed sharing these experiences with my son and Caleb with you. It has been a long time since I posted in this Community but taking the knowledge and motivation that we can get here.

Ciertamente el mes de diciembre es una de las épocas del año en que las personas parecerían estar más conectados con esa humanidad que muchas veces se pierde en el transcurso del año.
Muy bello el mensaje que le das a tu hijo sobre el significado de la navidad, ya que son valores que guardará por siempre y seguramente hará lo mismo el día que se transforme en padre.
Creo que en general las sociedades necesitan ese trabajo dentro del seno familiar donde le enseñamos a nuestros hijos lo importante de la vida y el significado de estos bellas fechas más allá de lo que ellos pueden ver con las inmensas campañas de marketing que se hacen por diversos medios.
Ese bello ritual de armar el árbol de navidad y decorar la casa también en familia también son hermosos gestos que se traducen en la transmisión de valores que poco a poco se van perdiendo.

Los niños tienen tanta sensibilidad que de alguna manera u otra nos recuerda a los adultos sobre nuestra humanidad, lo necesario sobre todo en la época de navidad de abrazar, de ser alegres, de compartir. De allí como padres y cuidadores debemos fomentarles esos valores y nutrir sus corazoncitos de mucho amor. Feliz día.
