‎So, I had resumed morning duty, on Saturday been first of November. I did met a labour case, which I had to monitor and make sure mother and child are fine.
‎Thanks to God at exactly ten fourty (10:40) am, she put to bed .

‎But something happened, immediately I took the child to her for bonding and gender reveal. She screamed, in tears and the only word she kept saying was; "hey God has answered them oooo, he has closed the mouth of my mockers". At this point I got curious and you know we nurses use gist to ease stress most of the time.

‎I decided to engage her in a conversation, while cleaning her up, hmmm; she said, she has three kids and they are all girls. That, each time she returns home and the relatives to the husband asks; what the gender is? The response after hearing it's a girl, was always again. After the third child and it was a girl, they told the husband to get another woman to give him a male child.

‎The husband decided to ghost those of his family members over the issue. He stopped associating with some and reduced association with some. The child in question was not a child she expected or planned for. She had booked for a family planning section with us, after removing the last one, she requested to rest for a while. So when she came for the procedure, She had to go for a pregnancy screening before any thing can be done.

‎On screening, she realized she was pregnant, and on going for a scan she was six weeks gone. She was counseled to go home and break the news to her husband. After many days, weeks and months, she came back for antenatal.

‎She said, nurse to be honest, they where expecting a female child, they even told me. But God has answered them for me. She was just saying thank you Jesus amidst the tears and everything. Then she consented to us taking a few pictures with our miracle baby. She went happily did. I had to tap into every miracle cause I know many needs it. So at this point, just want every expecting mother to know it isn't over, don't worry about the delay and trust the process. You definitely would share a good testimony and your present situation would soon be your past.
