My Journey in Parenthood

in Motherhood2 years ago

I am a mother to two daughters and have three bonus children. My youngest is almost 7 months old, and she's my last baby. I'm so sad about it honestly. Between me and my fiancé, we have an almost 8-year-old (Halloween baby), 7-year-old, almost 5-year-old, 2-year-old, and our baby.

I first got pregnant when I was 17 years old, which happened after my first time. I was scared and didn't know what to do. I, unfortunately, found out at 8 weeks along that I had lost my baby. I wanted another opinion so I went to see another doctor. They confirmed it as well, I got scheduled for surgery to have a D&C done.

On March 25, 2011, I had my surgery. It lasted almost an hour because she wanted to be very careful. She told me beforehand that if she wasn't very careful and slow that she could go past the uterus and puncture the bladder. That was a scary thought.

Fast-forward to January 2013. I got pregnant again by my boyfriend at the time. I wasn't feeling well during this time and ended up at my doctor's office when I was 6 weeks pregnant. They did an ultrasound and the baby's heartbeat was going so fast, we called the baby a little butterfly. I was sent over to the hospital from there to get IV fluids. It felt like it took the nurses forever to draw blood because I was so sick that my veins were collapsing and they were having such a hard time finding a good vein. In the end, I got IV fluids, medication, and potassium. I noticed before I left the hospital that I was spotting. The next week was awful, I was miscarrying my child. When I went back for my follow-up after the hospital visit, my womb was empty. It was sad, but I felt like I knew it was going to happen and I couldn't cry.

One year later I got pregnant with my daughter Adalynn. She was a miracle child for sure. The pregnancy went well, even though she didn't seem to want to come out. I was due October 25, 2014, but she wasn't born until Halloween day. She is lucky to be alive. The cord was around her neck four times, she swallowed amniotic fluid, and had a bowel movement on her way out. To this day she is a healthy child.

I met my fiancé on January 25, 2021. He already had three kids from a previous marriage. Two boys and a girl. I got pregnant 6 months into our relationship. I wanted a boy so bad, but we got a girl. Her name is Anastasia and she was born on April 9, 2022. She came out fast and perfect!

The sad part is that Anastasia is my last baby. It's bittersweet to watch her grow up and say her first words. She's about to start crawling as well.

Hard to believe that when I was 19 years old, I thought I was never going to be able to have children. Now here I am with five total under my roof. We have his three children every other week. It's hectic, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I love my kids with all my heart <3

Being a mom isn't easy, at all! But we got this mommas.

You had quite a tough journey as a mom. You stated that you became pregnant at 17 years of age. It is so young an age to have such an experience and also go through D&C. Is it allowed to have sex before 18 years at your place?

Thankfully the children that you have today are healthy and sound.

um yes it is allowed.
thank you,
