Haha that's genious, digging a hole in the sand at the beach! I would not recommend it here though, we don't have soft sand but very rocky sand and it hurts to walk through it, let alone lay on/in it. I'm happy that this year we bought these chairs so I don't have to sit on the beach anymore.. Totally different experience.
I lock myself in during daytime because every day there is a moment where I feel overwhelmed and run out of the hottest rooms as I feel dizzy and almost faint. It's a struggle but the upside could be that in Aug the worst is behind us (according to current predictions). I would not mind having that type of summer again, we had one of these before where July was worst, and Aug already more bearable.
In my final weeks, this would be amazing, fingers crossed, nothing as unpredictable as the weather, let alone the weather in 1-2 months ;)
