If you decide to find mushrooms in the spring, then the first thing you need to do is tear your butt off the chair / sofa. Yes, this is the most important and difficult. then everything is simple. Put on light boots on your feet (it can be wet in the forest), put a sharp knife in your pocket and do not forget that ticks are already very active in the forest (it is advisable to treat your clothes from them).
What can be found in the forest in spring? Many things. For example morels, Gyromitra and something else. But today we will talk about Gyromitra. So, I did everything that was listed in the first paragraph (except for the treatment against ticks, I walked into a clean forest), got into the car and drove away from the city. I do not need mushrooms with poisons of heavy metals and other dirt of civilization.
The road to the forest is pleasant in itself, even if it does not lead you to the mushrooms. But I knew where this road would lead me. I have already been to these places and assumed that there are mushrooms there. I wasn't wrong.
At the same time, I found most of the mushrooms right on the forest road. It should be noted here that Gyromitra love dense sandy soil. Forest trails, fire furrows often become their habitat.
When cutting this mushroom, make sure to cut the stem high enough. Grains of sand and debris are right in the pulp of the leg. This is not the same as peeling a boletus leg, here you just need to cut off a larger leg until it is clean. Otherwise, you will then squeak with sand on your teeth. Don't feel sorry for your legs.

You see this mushroom in a section. So, first of all, it is necessary to clean it from forest debris and ... internal residents. I don't mean worms. Pay attention to the complex labyrinths inside the mushroom. There are different insects from slugs, ants to various bugs.

To drive away uninvited guests, you need to immerse the mushrooms in salted warm water for half an hour. The guests will leave
Then you need to pour boiling water over the mushrooms so that they stop breaking and crumbling.
Then grind them as you see fit and you can start cooking. But there is one important feature. Gyromitra contains poisons. Therefore, before the usual preparation, these mushrooms should be boiled for 10 minutes, drained and rinsed. Then proceed as with ordinary mushrooms.
