FungiFriday - mushrooms in the sun and library books.

in Fungi Lovers3 years ago

Ok, first things first.

I know it is the right time for mushrooms hunting, or just was so you all guys have your folders stashed (I hope) with tons of photos for months to come. But I am quite stunned with the amount of amazing posts for #fingifriday. And not just today. Every Friday Gina keeps sending me messages of new posts. And I see that more and more people join the Friday challenge and we all get to admire the little beauties.
I am no mushroom expert - I keep saying that. I just love how diverse the mushroom world is, how photogenic they are and it all shows in the community feed.

I gotta tell ya - this feels really amazing to see mushrooms from all around the world in different forms and shapes. They are all stunning and interesting and if you want to know their name, I am sure some of our Fungi Experts will be able to help.

And now for the star of the show:

Le mushroom :)

Still not this season hunt. I shot those last January in one of the little nature parks around. One of my favorite places to go get some fresh shots. Especially for mushrooms, flowers and bugs.
I still have to wait a bit for the fresh supply. It turns out that majority starts to pop in late January-February. The soil is soaked with winter rains and the sun starts to be a bit warmer.
I can wait..
Soon..

I am not sure but it seem they are all the same type. Just those round ones are younger. The ones above manahed to open more and dry up a bit already.

And lastly a purple one. I didn't want to dig him out from that mess. I would definitely do some harm. Let him be.
Great colours on this one!

My contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

I hope many of you will join as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, I will check and report stolen images!)
  • add #FungiFriday tag (it doesn't have to be your first tag)
    That's all :)

And Kids...
Never take library books without library cards!
We don't want those classes to be canceled :p
