Here are a few Missouri finds for this #mushroommonday

Here are some pinkish ringless honey mushrooms.

The Latin name is Armillaria tabescens and it is a choice edible so long as it is fully cooked. The stems can also be a bit tough so you may want to cut them off.

Now here are some more typical honey mushrooms.

1000002437.jpg
They are a nice golden yellow thus they are Armillaria mellea.

1000002440.jpg
They are also edible just so you fully cook them. Stems are too tough to eat.

Be cautious though as they give some people stomach ached while others are fine. Try only a little at first.

These things also glow in the dark. But it has to be pitch black to see their faint green glow.

Here are some orange mycena. They aren't edible but look nice in the fall season. Almost brighter than a haloween pumpkin.

Lastly here is a patch of twig mushrooms. Very small and noticeable after a rain, too small to even consider eating.

That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)

Hey friend. What you doing in Missouri? I've had a busy summer. I hope to get back to regular activity. During the winter for sure.
