Haven't been able to go deep in the woods lately so we have sad mushrooms for this #mushroommonday

Just a normal mower mushroom I found on a night walk.

These came out during our last warm rain of the year. Now if we get anything it will be frost. Maybe then I can find some winter mushrooms.

Here is a massive dryad's saddle that is all dried out.

It is quite rooted into the tree. I tried pulling this one off but no luck without damaging the tree even more. So I left it.

Elsewhere on this tree there is a another spot I found a few weeks ago. I kind of wish I had harvested these.

Now look at them a couple weeks later... Very solid and dry.

Their final fate is to finally fall off and get absorbed back into the ground.
Hopefully I can finally get out into the forest to find some winter mushrooms before winter fully hits. That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Haha hilarious mushroom treadmill.
Nice shots 👍 winter is coming quickly. 34F here this morning. I brought in the hoses and turned off the faucets yesterday.
Yikes, the old houses around here also need to have the water on trickle inside so the pipes don't freeze. Plenty of ancient 1800s era houses on the market over here too lol.
