Here's an update on my reishi kit for #mushroommonday

Here they are after about six weeks of growth.

They are starting to form interesting shapes.

The antlers are now long enough to expose them to air. Once exposed to more air the while bulbous tips will start expanding out into a shelf shape.

Red is also starting form on the stems.

There is still fuzz on the stems but as they age they will become smooth and even more red.

This is what they looked like a couple weeks ago. I suspect not too much change over the next week. It might take a whole month to see any drastic change.

I wonder how long it would take to grow a wall art worthy specimen. These guys are pretty slow they might not be ready for harvest until spring.

😊
It has been noted that talking to plants makes them happy and grow.
Time to start talking to your Reishi mushrooms.
Definitely some inspiring music too...!!🎶
You are very gifted playing musical instruments..!

Hah yeah I should play my mongolian horsehead fiddle for them... but it might scare them to death.
