Leccinum scabrum, commonly known as the Brown Birch Bolete, is widely considered a very good, edible mushroom. It has a classic, pleasant mushroom taste that is not too overpowering. This makes it incredibly versatile in the kitchen, as it absorbs the flavors of herbs, garlic, and butter beautifully.

I have never collected fungi, some can try some can for the first time, they were not bad, but they didn't have much flavor.

I bought a mesh hanging box this summer, and use it instead of an electric dehydrator now.
