RE: Writing and Rewarding

in Self Improvement3 years ago (edited)

A well written and authentic post!
I think one of the issues I have in creating content sometimes is the desire to self censor, and not just spill all the beans on all and sundry. That would be seen to be caising drama though.

There's a lot of interesting conversations, and events that get omitted from posts because they aren't deemed relevant to the topic at hand, but I see now that they can spice things up.

I've also felt that my posts are more likely to be read and upvoted if they were shorter, while still being long enough to be deemed a "quality post", but people seem to be responding more to the longer posts.

Sort:

Yes, they can spice things up, as long as it isn't a constant stream of complaining... otherwise... Blurt. :D

The length of post is an interesting one, as I find that my longer ones (not too long) get read more. Though, very few of mine are under 1000 words. The longer posts also might not get as many readers, but the comments are far better quality. Short posts rarely instigate high -quality discussion.

Experimenting through content is all part of the fun.

I agree. I have yet to even look at Blurt but I think you've saved me the effort.
Something to experiment with for sure.
