I love this. In fact, I love everything you said here. Sometimes I regret some decisions I've made and thought about "what if this, what if that". But we can't turn back the time. I have to convince myself that I've made the right decision, or something worse could happen if the other way around. So now we just live this life, be grateful with the present, and try to be better than we were before.
It's not easy but we'll learn.
