I always find it interesting when people who aren't interested in the content are still commenting. I know that they won't last long on my posts. I generally reward something for comments, but I know (through enough experience) who are only angling for rewards and who will be here for the conversation, regardless of rewards. Those connections built over time become such an important part of the network.

Right? It's easy to spot the vote-farming comments. And it's also okay that we won't find every single post interesting to us. There are plenty that will be. I have seen many seasoned Hivers posting about this topic this week. Think we all need that reminder now and ten :)

If they are farming for reward, it generally ends and they lose out on the long gains. However, I know a few over the years who have transformed themselves quite drastically from comment farming to content creators, so I try to support those who look long :)
