There are many iconic villains in films that I love and are among my favorites, but many of them are from movies that I did not have the chance to watch at the cinema because I had not even been born or I was too little to watch them (for example, the amazing Hannibal Lecter by Anthony Hopkins or the menacing Darth Vader from the Star Wars franchise). These iconic villains have been immortalized by such great films and I had the pleasure of watching these movies as I grew up.
Hay muchos villanos icónicos en películas que me encantan y están entre mis favoritas, pero muchos de ellos son de películas que no tuve la oportunidad de ver en el cine porque ni siquiera había nacido o era muy pequeña para verlas (por ejemplo, el asombroso Hannibal Lecter de Anthony Hopkins o el amenazante Darth Vader de la franquicia de Star Wars). Estos villanos icónicos han sido inmortalizados por películas tan geniales y tuve el placer de verlas mientras crecía.
However, there is something special in experiencing an amazing villain for the very first in the cinema, everyone is in awe as these menacing characters threaten the lives of many with amazing performances and great character building... I felt as though I was being a part of history, that these villains belonged to my generation and as years would go by, many people would remember them with great admiration, just the same as we do with Hannibal Lecter or Darth Vader.
I want to share my two favorite movie villains that I had the pleasure to watch at the cinema as the films were released and that I know will be immortalized as iconic:

Thanos is a menacing force that everyone who is a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was expecting as the movies had spent many years teasing his arrival. However, I don't think anyone expected him to be as great as he is.

Infinity War was amazing at fleshing out Thanos, many people have said that this movie has Thanos as a sort of hero. His design is imposing and he is really strong, but what makes him so great is his goal, he believes in something greater than him, his cause is noble and he truly thinks it is the only way to save the planets from suffering the same catastrophe as his home planet.
Thanos' love for Gamora, his daughter, gives him a human aspect that makes him very compelling, he also has very iconic lines.
Infinity War fue increíble al desarrollar el personaje de Thanos, muchas personas han dicho que esta película tiene a Thanos como una especie de héroe. Su diseño es imponente y es realmente fuerte, pero lo que lo hace tan memorable es su objetivo, cree en algo más grande que él, su causa es noble y realmente cree que esta es la única forma de salvar a los planetas de sufrir la misma catástrofe que su planeta natal.

What solidified Thanos as such an amazing villain was the ending of Infinity War, one of the few instances where the villain wins, a shocking scene that left everyone speechless at the cinema as the credits rolled, it was a chilling experience that I will never forget, the cinema was dead silent. I love that Thanos just retires to a cabin far away looking at the sunset, as well as this iconic scene that reflects that he did not do it for his own happiness, but he only did what he thought was noble, sacrificing everything to win:

This was the performance of a lifetime and the most iconic performance of the amazing Heath Ledger.
There have been many takes on the character of the Joker, but my favorite will always be Heath Ledger's Joker. He is dangerous, chaotic, iconic and above all, he gives off a truly menacing feeling.

The audience never learns much about the Joker's backstory, you get none, the character keeps making up different stories about how he got the scars on his face, but we never get the actual story... This is a character that does not need any of that, he represents chaos and danger.
Many of the phrases by this character are iconic, Ledger made such an interesting Joker thanks to his "method acting" which led him to lock himself up in a hotel room for weeks while reading all of the comics of the character, even going as far as to make his own makeup.

What makes this character so compelling is not only such an iconic performance but also that his motivation is creating pure chaos, he does not care about money or fame, he only wants to bring Gotham's bat down, to bring the city down, to show that inside everyone is just as twisted as he is.

Creo que la mejor representacion de un villano en la historia del cine fue la que hizo Ledger con su Joker, una actuacion espectacular, el fue el 75% de esa pelicula, me gusto mas que Batman, y yo AMO a Batman... una maravilla ese Joker
El villano siempre es parte crucial en una pelicula! Es el que le da un proposito a la historia y siempre que hay uno que no da la talla, termina en una historia floja, incompleta y unidimencional. En este caso, definitivamente un hermoso trabajo!!
Me encantó! La parte de Thanos también me dejó impresionada, estaba como "¿En serio ganó el malo?"😂

Ufff, joyas totales los villanos que elegiste para tu post, justamente mencioné a Thanos en el mío y ese Joker fue perfecto, sin embargo, ya no podría elegir entre ESE Joker particular o el de Joaquin Phoenix, siento que ya ambos subieron la barra demasiado y es demasiado difícil elegir jajaja

Marvels movies are a treat to watch for all action movie lovers and that character of Thanos is as equal as any of those heroes in those movies.

Estos villanos no tan villanos están aquí mencionados, una increíble reseña y los porque, aunque solamente sean categorizados como villanos por la industria si uno se pone a verificar la situación, su entorno y el porqué llegaron a eso nos damos cuenta que no eran realmente villanos solamente pensaban distinto.
Esos son sus puntos mas fuertes! La diferencia entre un heroe y un villano es cuestion de pura perspectiva y en estos villanos esto se muestra tan brillantemente explicado!
Ambos fueron villanos que sin duda marcaron a muchos, incluso diferentes generaciones, porque aun cuando lo elegi, el joker de heath lo vi por primera vez cuando aun era una niña! Mi hermano si estaba ya mayor y lo amo con su alma, lo mismo con thanos y los que estuvieron en edades similares! Muy curioso!
